Who has watched this and what was your opinion on it? I watched it this weekend and found it to be pretty interesting. We all think we know Fox News general shtick when it comes to delivering the news, but to have former Fox employees talk about it is pretty interesting.

For those of you who are fans of Fox News and have seen this, what do you have to say? Do you believe there is a similar situation and bias to this extent going on in CNN or MSNBC?

I recognize there is bias everywhere, so if anyone would make a documentary about the bias on the other news networks, I would be completely open to it. Don't take this thread as a direct insult towards Fox News in general, I recognize there is bias everywhere.

I think it's incredibly telling about the journalistic integrity of the channel. I'll never go as far as to claim MSNBC is free of guilt concerning bias, because they are not. But I think Fox News at a very corporate level is very different. I think those memos speak for themselves.

CNN, I don't even know. They are slaves to technology.

If someone were to make a similar documentary about MSNBC I would react in the same manner to that as I did to Fox. I realize that there is bias in the media, but holy damn that documentary was ridiculous. The fact that Fox had people working for their network that had direct relations with people in the Republican party was just astonishing.

I find it very difficult to believe anyone who watches Fox would take that news channel seriously after watching that documentary, although I know the reality is that people would and I find that scary.

Wow, I think I watched this sophomore year of college in one of my required media courses...crazy and yet entirely predictable. I stay away from the news

i watched this a couple of days ago but fell asleep at the last 15 minutes of it (not because it was boring), it was really interesting to see how they work on the inside. it also made my hate for o'reilly grow to another level.

I cannot believe what an absolute dick that man is. The montage of all his times telling people to "shut up" was awesome.

I'm watching it now, and I'm not sure if I can say that I'm surprised. It's extremely fascinating, though.

I really think that no one with functioning brain cells would take this channel seriously.

Also, the fact that they have all their anchors use the term "some people say" is highly amusing.

Don't really watch cable news channels. It bugs me that companies like Texaco are major sponsors and advertisers of these channels.

Not totally true. PBS and NPR are extremely un-biased, despite what some people on both sides of the political spectrum will say.

Well, I meant more so in the mainstream media outlets.

I think the biggest journalistic distinction between Fox News and other cable news networks is the anchors.

I also pose the question of if the way Fox News reports on stories has an effect on the GOP has a whole. Has it aided in the decline of the GOP has a whole?

Either it is was helping casue the movement of the party toward the extreme right wing

or

it was/is just a reflection of how the party was leading in that direction the last 10 years.

I would lean towards the former.

the bigger question is : With moderates being turned off by the extremism of the Republican party will those people stop watching Fox? and if so will Fox choose to air more moderate of voices or continue to move father right?

I think there is a large portion of people that watch Fox that only do it to see the absurd things that are said. Not that, that is in a majority, but Fox itself seems more like entertainment to some then actual news.

I doubt they will ever become more moderate. I can only forsee the extremism getting worse. Fear makes people go crazy.
