patrick wolf (http://www.patrickwolf.com/)- acoustic indie goodness
a silver mt. zion (http://www.cstrecords.com/html/asmz.html)- ft. members of godspeed you! black emperor. mostly instrumental. amazing amazing amazing. look at the lyrics/listen to the spoken part of "built then burnt- hurrah! hurrah!"
jets to brazil (http://www.jadetree.com/bands/artist/jets_to_brazil)- four cornered night. they're no jawbreaker, but they were still good.
the academy is (http://www.theacademyis.com/)- so this band is getting huge, and fast. this is one of the only cds i can stay i've had since the start of the year that i still listen to on a daily basis and have not gotten sick of, at all.
circa survive (http://www.circasurvive.com/)- i think i forgot about this cd for a while. it's also really good. listen to "in fear and faith" if you need a reminder why you liked them.
the city on film (http://www.post436records.com/cityonfilm/)- bob nanna's newest project, for those unaware. released one of my favorite cds of the year, and also released a couple of eps. so so good.
and so on and so forth. it'd probably be better not to go through my best of list. i hope everyone has a merry christmas (happy holidays) and stay safe.

i'm recommending christmas music, of course! bright eyes, belle & sebastian, sufjan, death cab's one song, rilo's one song, "arcade fire" (quotes because i know, i know. it's not actually them)
for non-xmas music, new pornographers and rogue wave, 'cause i'm seeing them on new years eve and really fucking excited.
