Can it be anyone but Cadillac Williams? Almost 1200 yards from scrimmage and 6 TDs. Should be good enough to win it.

This has been a pretty awful year for offensive rookies. Randle El's rookie season, as a #3 WR on the Steelers, is as impressive as any rookie season for the WR's this year, and that's just sad. Heath Miller's been the best TE, and Alex Smith (the TB TE) has been solid. Quarterbacks have been a joke. Alex Smith, one of the worst rookie seasons ever for a first round pick. Kyle Orton, never seen a QB do less in 10 team victories. Ryan Fitzpatrick was a flash in the pan for one day. Charlie Frye has been solid, but not spectacular.

So far, it looks like the Cadillac, Ronnie Brown, Heath Miller, and Braylon Edwards are the most promising players for the future. Mark Clayton from Baltimore has been getting better too.

i'd go with cadillac. this years offensive rookie class hasn't been much to talk about, but cadillac is the best of the group.

Mark Clayton played well last night when i watched.

But yeah, this is going to Cadillac.

yeah Cadillac will win it, just think how many yards he would have if he wasn't hurt there for a few weeks.

the pitt te will win the afc one. that guy is awesome.

no one really deserves it in the nfc...there is no rookie that has had a real good year.

Yeah, heath miller has had an excellent year.

You don't think 1100 yds in 13 games with a 4.1ypr is impressive for a rookie. And only 2 fumbles as well

hes inconsistent. he had a great first couple games...then got hurt. then has been shut down numerous times. he has shown flashes of greatness but i dont see him as anything great.

but yeah i guess in the nfc he is the best out there...

He's been shut down occasionally because his offensive line is pisspoor. Tampa Bay's OL has always been shitty, even when they won the Super Bowl it was mediocre.

Cadillac wins by a mile. Ronnie Brown finishes second.

heath miller, in 3 years, will be a top 5 tight end in the league.

but offensive ROY goes to cadillac.

what about defensive ROY? I think Odell Thurman of Cincy has it locked up.

I don't think they give out AFC & NFC awards for rookies.

I agree that Miller will be one of the top TE's in the future.

halfway through the season i'd have said heath miller.

but now, it's definitely cadillac.

miller, cadillac and ronnie brown will all great players.

for defensive rookie of the year, thurman's a good choice. but could also be merriman or tuofo, or whatever his name is.

no, he's saying there's no rookie wr this year having a better year than randle el did as a rookie.

it will be him, but i'm not sold on him as a really good runner yet...4.1 per carry is ok, but i saw a lot of games where it was 30 for 100 which doesn't impress me

i think yards per carry is a slightly overrated stat.

sure, it looks good when comparing backs.

but 100 yards on 30 carries is no less than 100 yards on 10 carries.

and yeah, a 3 ypc average isn't super impressive, but the fact that a rookie can carry the load of 30 carries is rather impressive to me.

i agree that it's nice to know you have a work horse...but it also means he's not being as productive each time he touches the ball...we'll see how he and the line develop. for tampa fans it is nice to know you have a guy who next year can take 350 touches and keep going if things work out.

Cadillac, mos def. But Mark Clayton is going to be amazing.

Cadillac wins, but I think Brown would have won if Ricky wasn't back.

Defensive player of the year's going to be Shawne Merriman because of his sacks at a LB position (9 sacks). Thurman is a great pick (99 tackles) as is Channing Crowder (82 tackles 2FF).

Defensive rookies > Offensive rookies.

Thurman will, win it. He's got nearly double the amount of tackles than Merriman, more fumble recoveries, and leads all rookies (not just rookie LB's but ALL rookies) in INT's with 5.

And, it shouldn't matter but it does, he plays for a better team (record wise) in Cincy.

however, Lofa Tatupu, from Seattle, should win it:

102 Tackles
4 sacks
3 INTs
1 def. TD

Cadillac is so far and away the only choice for offensive ROY it's not even funny. He's going to be a great back. He can break the big run and he's a workhorse. Can't beat that.

Tatupu is a great choice, but he probably wont win due to his lack of exposure. Which is why Thurman and Merriman have a chance. Eh, the Defense this year from rookies has been rather Stellar. I could see if any of them get picked. Offensive Rookies... now that's another story.
