Fender Jaguar Bass

My dream bass is a Rickenbacker 4003 but I probably won't be able to afford one until I'm in my mid-thirties so I'm looking for a cheaper more practical bass. I recently played a Fender Jaguar bass at my local guitar shop and was very impressed with the versatility of the tone. I wanted to get some other opinions from people who have had more experience with them

My friend has one and really likes it. But thats about all I know about it.

It's a pretty cool bass. I couldn't quite figure out what each of the roller controls and switches did in the shop, but I was able to find a good tone regardless. I belive it's Japanese made, so it should hold up very well over time. Fender Japan puts out some really cool stuff.

Only think I would really worry about would be possible neck dive when you have it strapped on, but you might not even mind or notice.
