I've heard that some critical reviews around Full Collapse made reference to some silly thing about Thursday being the next Nirvana. I remember it being said about the Vines, but is it true of Thursday also? If so, does anyone have any specifics, what review, magazine, etc?
This may be a shot in the dark, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Island record execs were pushing to make them that. It's on the "Kill the House Lights" DVD.

thursday was supposed to be the next nirvana because they were groomed to be the next musical trend. in a way they were, since they ushered in all this shitty music, but they didn't have the cross countercultural and eventual mainstream appeal that nirvana did, so they weren't.

Can totally see Geoff Rickly(sp?) being like a Cobain figure man, totally.
