Justin (Motion City Soundtrack (http://www.absolutepunk.net/motioncitysoundtrack)) has updated his band journal (http://www.motioncitysoundtrack.com/journal.php).
so i made out like a bandit for this particular holiday. i have quite a few books to dig into for this next year as well as a few movies and television series to crack open. one being "lost." i've heard amazing things about it and started watching it last night. holy balls! it's a trip. probably the most amazing opening to a show ever! i recommend it highly and insanely. what?
i spent a few hours yesterday in a telecine session for "karen." i am a bit nervous about my decision to drain most of the color out of the film because upon seeing it now, it looks amazing. but i stuck to my guns and made the whole thing look as though it were a "low" song come to life. i wanted it to look melancholic and feel like winter in the subbasement level of an apartment with total sleep deprivation and too many cigarettes and scotch on the rocks. i think we've succeeded in that aspect. now all we need is the sound design to be finished and we're off!
i've turned into a total gamer(is that the proper word?). kari and i have been playing the first x-men game for gamecube and we've been kicking serious ass all up and down that bitch! it'd been nearly 10 years since i was into anything gamular(i totally made that one up). that's all i got. for now.
