Lol, Im going to the Pittsburgh show.
This Providence was great when I saw them in April,
And I'm seeing Hey Monday this Tuesday.

Plus I heard Stereo Skyline and The Bigger Lights put on a good show.
So I'm pretty excited for this.

I'm still holding out for the Chicago date. Last night they said they'd be back in Chicago on their first headlining tour, but there's still no date announced.
I really want to see This Providence again, because they're absolutely amazing live.

Hey Monday said in an interview that their set for this tour is going to be between 40-45 minutes long. I'm interested to see how it's going to workout since they only have one CD with eleven songs on it.

They definitely said they're coming to Chicago, but I'm still waiting for a date. Because my investigation has told me that it should be June 22nd, 24th, or 25th, and I'm not even in Chicago all of those dates. And I don't think I'm willing to make a road trip to see this, as much as I do love This Providence.

So I bought my tickets for Milwaukee, but just found out last night I can't go. I'm not from Milwaukee, so obviously nobody I know wants the tickets since they'll be in Chicago the next night, and I'm not sure what to do.

I'm convinced that if The Bigger Lights is involved, then I just can't see a show. This is the third time I've tried to see them, unsuccessfully, and each time the reason is more and more out of my control.

Yea, they were all drunk except David because he wasn't 21. It was....interesting.

And in my opinion, they don't disappoint live. I'd only heard a few of their songs (Card House Dreamer, My Beautiful Rescue, A Wolf In Sheep's Clothing) before I saw them the first time last November, and I definitely found it enjoyable. It was the first time I'd heard Sand In Your Shoes, and I really liked that live with Dan and the guitar on a stool onstage.
I'd be curious to find out how long of a set they have, since I'm not sure Hey Monday could hold their own for more that 45 minutes. It'd be a shame if This Providence only gets 30 minutes.

I agree with you 100% If This Providence plays less than 7 songs just because five bands are on this tour will get me frustrated. And if they unfortunately do, they shouldn't have even joined the tour in my opinion. I mean seriously, they have had 3 albums, been together longer than all of those bands, been support for many big bands and get put on a tour where they can't even fit a good setlist. It's ridiculous.

the cleveland one doesn't really have a public parking lot, so i bet they'll use the big sidewalk out front of the venue, it has like stairs to sit on and stuff. andrew from danger radio played acoustic before their show there in august. i'm excited, b/c it's a nice little layout for an acoustic hangout, better than a parking lot and just as big lol :]

Ugh don't even waste your time at the HOB. I always have a shitty time when I go there.
Security is too hard to deal with if you don't wanna be in the pit.
But I love love love Agora too.

Seems like a pretty amazing setlist by this providence, can't wait for tuesday. My one complaint is that they don't have sand in your shoes during the regular setlist. I would like to see this is the real thing on there too, but oh well. Im sure if they could play a longer setlist they would be on there. Im disappointed with the set lengths this tour

they definitely played my beautiful rescue when i saw them. and ludo sucks and stereo skyline is great recorded? i feel we have quite different tastes. stereo skyline is one of the most generic bands i've heard, while ludo has never disappointed me live, and are great recorded.

Just because This Providence doesn't play 'Beautiful Rescue' doesn't make them a disappointment.. there's plenty of other great songs by them.
Also, Ludo-in my opinion-doesn't suck live, or recorded.

Mainly This Providence's crew, but Andrew Goldstein just said their drummer Chris was flown home today.

So...what does Hey Monday have against "Hurricane Streets"? I'm not saying it's the best song on the album or anything...but to be a headliner and play 10 out of 11 songs on your album, you must have to dislike the one song you left out...

It's not like they ran out of time or anything...they were scheduled to play for 50 minutes and finished in around 40, maybe even less.

Does anyone know if The Bigger Lights and Friday Night Boys have done acoustic sets after all of the shows? And do they just do them outside? Because if they have been doing that on most of the shows if I don't end up getting to the concert I'll go hang out after the show haha.

i think they've been doing them after most of the shows, as long as they can. like i said, i think all the shows have been done early enough for them to have time after to play. and in cleveland, it was just right in front of the venue. i guess it could depend on where there is room around your venue

haha, seriously. stereo skyline seem like really sweet guys, but they really aren't very good. and The Bigger Lights are so great :] can't wait to finally get to see them not being the first opener.

Actually, at the show in Pontiac, they all were hanging out right in front of the venue. I'm not a Hey Monday fan at all, so I only met the couple that I could remember their names. (Cassidee, Alex, and Jersey?)

Went last night, pretty fun show. I loved it.
FNB couldn't do acoustic due to rain, and This Providence couldn't really have the acoustic tent set up because of legal things, but they still played..in the road haha.

Overall really fun. Setlists were the same, nothing changed.

Haha yeah doors in Pittsburgh were at 6, and the acoustic hang didn't start until around 5:15. They were there, they were just figuring out the legal issues with the tent and everything I'm guessing.

So tonight was the best night of mine and Molly's lives and this is...

We got to the Mob Club Theater at around 4:00 and hung out for the This Providence pre-show hang which was killer they played Letdown,Waste Myself and then everyone wanted Dan to sing Sand In Your Shoes so he did which was great since it's my favourite song on their CD. After they were done we went over to talk to David and get a picture with him he's really nice. Then we went back to where Dan was and waited in line to get a picture with him. When we got up to him he asked us what our canes were so we explained to him that we're both legally blind. We got pictures with him and talked for about twenty minutes or so he's such a sweetheart and has a very nice Australian accent. :). After we finished talking to him everyone was told to move away from the tent and get back in line. We knew that Duncan was supposed to call us at 5:00 to arrange our meet and greet it was getting close to that time and both of us were getting really nervous that he wasn't going to call. Then all of a sudden I spot him walking onto the bus and tell Molly and she said "Well I hope he's going in there to pick up the phone" and not even 5 minutes later my phone rang we both freaked I answered and sure enough it was Duncan right on the dot. He asked where we were so I said we were right outside the bus doors so he came out and got us. Took us onto the bus which was very overwhelming we were both almost in tears but quickly got over that once we sat down and started talking to the band, it was as if we'd known them forever. We hung out on the bus for an hour just talking and listening to music. We got autographs and then went inside to watch the show.

Jersey walked us inside and brought us to get merch and told us to pick whatever we wanted, he was also nice enough to describe what everything looked like for us. After he left an EMS guys named Taz helped us to special seats so that we wouldn't get hurt in the crowd. The band was The Bigger Light but we missed half of their set because we were on the bus but that's ok because we're not that into them anyways. After a short intermission and pee break Stereo Skyline came on and were way better then either of us expected since their CD is very technoish. The Friday Night Boys took the stage next but it wasn't the entire band because Chris' (the drummer) passport didn't come in time so he couldn't make it but they played acoustic instead and it was killer. Andrew even played Molly Makeout When they were finished we got Taz to bring us to their merch table so we could meet them. We got to meet Robby the bass player who was very nice and we talked for about 5 minutes and took a picture and then Andrew the lead singer came out and he signed Molly's shirt and he put "You Are The Real Molly Makeout" then he signed mine too. We also got a picture with him. After another intermission This Providence took the stage. They played Playing The Villian, A Wolf In Sheep's Clothing, Waste Myself, Letdown and two others that I can't remember, Cassadee & Mike from Hey Monday came out for one of them.

When we were on the bus Cassadee told us that we would get to sing a song with her, which was pretty cool but it gets even better. After a bathroom break Taz took us backstage where Elliot came out and gave us a big hug and then Cass told us that we'd be watching the show kind of offstage but when they went on we found ourselves standing on stage with them. We were standing on the right side where Alex and Jersey play I was afraid that Alex was going to hit us the entire time. Before Cass sang 6 Months she got us all set up with our own mic and then told everyone a little about the two of us and then we went into the song, there are absolutely no words that can describe what it feels like singing with you're favourite band and the person who idolize. Even after we were done singing they let us stay onstage. During Josey Cass threw out plastic cups for the crowd and Jersey gave two to us and he told Molly to throw it when the chorus came back in and that he would point to her then he realized what he said and gave her a hug, apologized and then ran back and played. He is such a sweet guy he came and talked to us during one of the intermission and he kept talking to during Hey Monday's set too. When they were finished their set he came and handed us two setlists and we each got a guitar pick from every member except Elliot since he plays drums.

When we got back to Molly's we decided to call Duncan to thank him for everything that he did for us tonight. We were actually surprised that he answered the phone but he was pretty cool about it and said it was no problem and the next time they're back in town we're getting in for free and hanging out with the band again. This was the best concert of our lives and one we're never going to forget.

We want to say a big thank you to Duncan,Cassadee,Alex,Mike,Elliot,Je rsey,Andrew,Dan,David,Robby,Brian and Taz.

that'd be me, and it was definitely still light out when it ended lol. but there was a late show at the venue, so they had to be out by like 9
and there was little to no time in between sets. i'm not even sure it was 10 minutes between, more like however long it took to switch out the drums lol

It sucked at my venue everyone had to leave immediately after the show was done so it was hard to meet the bands. They're always buy their merch tables after their set though so people can go meet them and gets pics and stuff. Andrew from FNB ended up doing an acoustic set after the show just randomly on the street somewhere. And Hey Monday is always walking around during the other bands sets and visa versa.

Just got home from the Atlanta show....wow. Hey Monday nailed it, they sounded awesome. the crowd was sooo energetic, and there was constant moshing (which was so surprising) and the band really seemed to be enjoying themselves. This Providence also did a great job and had a great sound.
The other bands were very bad, though... Especially Stereo Skyline.
Got to meet a lot of the band members and get pics with them after the show. HM said they are coming back in the fall, will definitely attend.
All in All, great night (despite 3 sucky bands)

They always come out after the show sometimes you can catch them before and they're always out walking around in the crowd during the other band's sets. They're touring with All Time Low, We The Kings and Friday Night Boys (not 100%)

This is pretty late but the Cleveland show was absolutely amazing. I met all of Hey Monday, all of This Providence, and Andrew from The Friday Night Boys. This was such a great tour and am looking forward to the fall tour.

No, the bands usually hang outside the venue before or after the show. This Providence has been doing acoustic sets two hours before shows and at some The Friday Night Boys have played an acoustic set after the show.
