This has bad idea written all over it. As much as I liked the first film, I didn't care at all for Escape and to turn the third into a Christmas film feels a little off.
Just make a NPH movie already.

Wow. Really? Why even bother is 50% of the title is suddenly going to look and act differently? Why hollywood needs to continuously cash in on shit is beyond me, it's not like they ended the second one with such a cliffhanger that people need the story finished. Absolutely ridiculous. If Kal Penn isn't a part of this, I will not be seeing this.....and even if he is, I might not see it anyway.
I love weed and stoner films as much as anyone but, do we really need another Harold and Kumar film?

I had no idea there was going to be another one until I saw John Cho talking about it last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Hopefully Kal decides to do it or else I probably won't be watching.

Never really liked him in American Pie. Thought he was funny in the first Harold and Kumar, but didn't care for his one scene in the second. Then again, I thought the second blew overall. I wouldn't mind if they did a spin-off with the two characters, since I think it wouldn't be as bad as making a sequel without Penn.

It was announced on April 3, 2010 that Kal Penn is leaving his job at the White House (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_House) and will reprise his role in the newest installment of the Harold and Kumar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harold_and_Kumar) series.
Danneel Harris (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danneel_Harris) is rumored to be reprising her role of Vanessa.

New details:
* 119-page draft from January 22nd 2010 by Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossber
* Harold and Kumar, now in their 30s, have not been on speaking terms for years. Harold is a married, drug-free, Wall Street executive, while Kumar is single, still living like a teenager, and has recently had his medical license suspended for smoking marijuana.
* The pair are reunited when a package intended for Harold arrives at their old apartment and Kumar must deliver it to Harold’s house. Kumar ends up burning down Harold’s special Christmas tree grown by his father-in-law, requiring the duo to seek out a replacement.
* According to Vulture, “Along for the ride this time are waffle-making robots (”It’s this year’s hot new toy — Wafflebot!”), a drug-taking infant who makes the baby from The Hangover look like a huge prude, and, of course, Neil Patrick Harris, who returns despite his having been shot to death outside of a whorehouse in H&K 2. There’s also a small role written for Kelly Ripa, as NPH’s co-host for a TV Christmas special, that we kinda doubt she’ll take (but really hope she does!).”
* The script also features a five-page claymation sequence in which Harold and Kumar, high on psychoactive eggnog, are chased through midtown Manhattan by a giant evil snowman. Perfect for 3D.

Let me guess: They get stoned with Santa Claus too. I'm hesitantly excited about this. The sequel wasn't that great, but definitely made me laugh...But I really do love a solid Christmas movie (erm--by that, I mean the first Santa Clause and Christmas Vacation).
I'm looking forward to this. I love the first two.

That article is over a year old (May 2009). Kal Penn has since agreed to leave his position at the White House and is filming right now. They're filming here in Michigan.

He'll yeah! I will defiantly being seeing it now than. The plot sounds more like something like the first one rather than the second one. I liked the jokes and stuff from the second one but wasn't a big of fan of the plot. Even though the plot in the first one is as basic as they come.

Due in theaters on November 4, Strauss-Schulson tells EW that the film is a “straight-up Christmas movie,” only one that apparently features robots, 3D smoke rings, lesbian nuns and a raunchy musical cameo by NPH (wait, only just a cameo? Say it ain’t so). He describes the picture as ultimately being “epically absurd.” God, we sure as shit hope so.
