I DONT UNDERSTAND THE HYPE AT ALL!

i just got back from seeing it....umm...what? THIS is what made everyone jizz in their pants? I dont understand...it was just an A typical hollywood action film. Their was no real "problems" ever ensued in the film, and therefore I never felt as if there was ever any real danger to the characters.... BY THEN making me NOT CARE about the action sequences.

Every scene was the same..... lets subtly introduce a well known star trek character..... "and who do you think you are..." "my name is scotty". that was the same basic dialogue throughout the film... Am i suppposed to be wowed at this film like most people are claiming?

i dont get it.

I just thought it was fun, a good ride. Amazing visuals, surprisingly funny, and every actor held their own and brought something good to the story. It's not a perfect movie by any means, but considering when they first announced it I didn't have the slightest interest in seeing it, it's pretty impressive how much I actually enjoyed it.

Much better than Wolverine, which was absolute tripe IMHO.

I enjoyed it more than those films for sure, but I can definitely see that point of view. I think it had a bit more character development and focus on plot (yes, I know there are plot holes galore) than those other films which ultimately made it more enjoyable for me.

Super entertaining...although I was a little bit lost on some of the plot and didn't get the trekky jokes that were made. All in all thumbs up, though. It was really well done.
