Pacific Ridge Records (http://www.pacificridgerecords.com) has signed the recently re-formed Showoff (http://www.purevolume.com/showoff). The band will be heading into the studio soon to record an album which should be out in the late spring/early summer. This will be the band's first release since their 1999 self-titled offering on Maverick.

Haha, I had copied/pasted that from a press release, so I didn't catch that. Fixed now though, thanks.

Chris Envy has unsuccesfully tried to re-start his music career 3 times, including his last band Farewell My Enemy which started out as a reformation of Showoff. Hopefully things work out this time. Their self titled record was pretty fun.

This is depressing. Possibly the most depressing part is the reply to the comment on the record label's page.

It's Chris Envy's former label from his "Farewell My Enemy" attempt at music, saying "Uh, hi. We still need to discuss this". Weird, all around. =(
