Below is an email from Longwave (http://www.longwavetheband.com). The band was recently dropped by RCA Records (http://www.rcarecords.com).
We are currently finishing up the recording of 5 new songs with our friend Pete Min, whom we worked with on Endsongs and the Life of the Party EP. You can listen to one of the new ones, currently being called "Untitled", at Myspace (http://www.myspace.com/longwaveofficial).

The first time I listened to these guys was about a year ago. They're pretty good, and actually it's good they're not on RCA anymore. This is a band that needs close attention, because they can go far.

My favorite album of 2003 a few years back. They never got the attention they deserved even after opening for bands like The Strokes. They're still playing non-sold out small clubs like Maxwell's and Bowery Ballroom.
i used to go to longwave shows all the time in the city back in 2003, they're great. getting dropped from rca isn't going to slow them down.

I was at their NYC show the day they got dropped from RCA. It was a bummer of a show. The band was obviously bummed out and the venue was about 1/4 full (and they were headlining). It was like attending a funeral. I've seen them a bunch and their show are usually pretty great. The Strangest Things was a great album.
