View Full Version : What Are Your Favorite New(ish) Pop Punk Bands?

I was just wondering what people are listening today in terms of new pop punk. And by new I mean albums or bands that you've heard of in the past couple years. And the bands by no means have to be unheard of, the whole point is to spread the word. Just though it'd be good to get some good band names out there. Feel free to share links or comment on other peoples lists. Here's mine:
Best Intentions

Title Fight

Transit

Man Overboard

This Time Next Year

(These guys are fairly popular, but hopefully this will be new to somebody.)

Title Fight's good. Nice rec.
Honestly, the only "pop punk" I've really liked in the past couple of years has been Set Your Goals.

Yeah. I really like Set Your Goals, the hardcore influence is great. But some of their lyrics just make me cringe. I can't even listen to "Work In Progress" anymore.

Yeah I've heard a lot of talk about Fireworks. I checked them out a while ago but couldn't really get into them. They music is good an all, but the lead singers voice is a little too girly for me.

BUMPITTY BUMP.
But yeah, listen to all those bands Truman122 talked about. Best Intentions is some good shit, check out their music, spread the word about them.
But some other bands:
Ten Count Fall: www.myspace.com/tencountfall
--their shit fucking rocks, but they haven't released any new music in a while.
Mission To Felspar: www.myspace.com/missiontofelspar
--or search them on purevolume. try and find some of their older stuff, like hello hello, or alcohology.
Itchy Poopzkid: www.myspace.com/itchypoopzkid
-- really good pop punk band out of Germany, but they still sing in english. Check their stuff out, I recommend their earlier album Heart To Believe. Or look up their Music video "Silence is Killing Me" on youtube.
Blink 182: www.myspace.com/blink182
-- Just in case your the biggest idiot on the planet or have been in a fucking cryochamber for the past 10 years.
Yeah this is all the bands I have for now, I'll put some shit up later.

pop-punk never actually means pop-PUNK on this site. just like absolutepunk.net isnt really absolutePUNK.net, and jason regrets naming his website that.

Nice post back.
Sorry. I went with POP-punk for a few bands instead of pop-PUNK. I totally forgot that because a band leans a little towards pop rather than punk, but are still pop punk bands(just newer), some people refuse to call them that.

yeah... mostly i just dont give a shit. when im talking about bands like the early november or whoever, pop-punk is the term people understand best on this site, so thats the term im gonna use regardless how correct it is. i usually just call the real pop-punk bands just punk anyway, like jawbreaker to me are a punk band, and no one's gonna confuse me talking about the other stuff by saying that.
Good point dude. I never looked at it that way.
Oh shoot....where did my picture go??? Better fix that.
