He got caught under a pile and got his arm caught behind him or something, it didnt appear to be serious though.
They just had their first TD drive though under Rivers, 3/6 39yards, and he threw a block on a linebacker to get LT more yards.

Maybe this'll be a kinda good thing. Brees has been forcing it for the last month. Remember last week? He fucking blew it.

I love him, and I really hope to see him just kick some serious ass next year, but he's definitely falling apart a bit as of late.
I would too though. I mean to pressure of being on such a good team, and losing games by like..2 points to easy teams and not making the playoffs...must suck.

Yeah, they came up just short quite a bit this year, they're my favorite AFC team.

Me too. I'm not a big fan of most the AFC teams. I like the chargers the most, i've always been a pretty big bengals fan. I like Buffalo too, and certain players on the steelers though i usually don't root for them.
I don't know, most of my favorite teams are in the nfc, and they are all horrible this year. lol.

my #1 is the bears though.

true, that one pass before the touchdown (i think it was the play right before) where he kinda just jumped in the air and threw it completely across the field was just god-awful.

I want to see the GMen kill on this. I like them, but they need all the advantages they can get in the playoffs.

i'd like to see the giants win and take the #3 seed. A NYG-Chicago divisional matchup would be fun to watch. I'm willing to bet Eli gets eaten alive in that game.

Do you think they should stick with brees, or start working on rivers a their franchise qb?

Brees, he's playing well, he's still pretty young.
Philip hasn't proved anything yet, and today he's struggling with the things he was best at in college, reads, accuracy, and holding onto the ball. Maybe he's just nervous? I still think Philip will be at least a solid QB when he gains experience

its a tough decision. i don't think they should base much on today's game because its river's 1st action. i'm convinced that they are only going to go so far with brees at QB because he tends to make big mistakes. He plays great one week and then throws the game away the next. With that said, he's young. He isnt as young as Rivers but he hasnt hit his peak yet.
To me, Rivers can be a stud if a team dedicates themselves to him. I think SD has totally fucked this whole situation up, and a lot of that has to do with Brees emergence. If you can get a 1st rounder (unlikely) or a impact player at a position of need I'd trade him. Otherwise, I might develop Rivers. He's got the potential.

they could probably get some good trades for him though. There are a few teams in the NFL that really could use new qbs.
I feel so upset about my whole lions situation. like...what the fuck are we going to do? lol.

Haha, I really like Oregon and I had high hopes for Joey, but in my gut I felt he wasn't going to be up to par.

Me too. I really wanted to see him tear it up, but he's just done horribly.
Doesn't help that he's been on a bad team though. It's hard to develop when you're getting your ass handed to you. That's why guys like Carr on Houston impress me quite a bit. I like that kid.

Brees was awful again today. Rivers didn't do too bad considering it was the first major action of his NFL career.
