My roommate and I went to rent the Mighty Ducks movies tonight and neither Hollywood nor Blockbuster had a single one of them.
Anyways, discuss how much the Mighty Ducks rule.
EDIT: Also, before you tell me this belongs in the Entertainment thread, sorry... too late.

I would watch them and then go into my garage with my roller blades and play hockey against an imaginary team Iceland. I would put orange slices in my mouth and act like it was a mouth guard, then it would start to burn after like four hours of intense fake nerd hockey.
I got laid all the time.

I highly suggest going to best buy or ordering on amazon the trilogy box set. So worth it.

I bought the trilogy set two years ago and the d3 DVD was mislabeled and is actually an old Disney movie that no one has ever heard of before. Pretty bummed.

I went to Mickey's Diner when I was staying at the Hilton in Minneapolis.

Modano is in the first one, with Basil McRae. I thought it was the best movie cameo of all time until Paul Kariya shows up in the second one.

I bought the three DVD pack last night and I've already watched two today. These are fantastic and not nearly as cheesy as I feared they'd be after not watching them in over a decade.

That would be disappointing. I found all three in a boxset still factory sealed at a used dvd store for $14.95. I exclaimed "oh hell yes!" and grabbed it. Multiple people around me were like "I wanted that!"

The lack of Canada in the International Tournament is baffling. Just thought I'd put that in there. I actually played on a hockeyteam called the Ducks and we'd do the quack right before we played. These movies are kind of amazing.

definitely going to be listening to Knucklepuck on the way to work tomorrow.
These were some of my favorite movies growing up, so i was extremely excited when i got to be an extra in the 3rd one. Got some sweet props used to "cheer" in the crowd too.

They could do one with some of the team making it to the NHL or the olympic team since D2 was junior olympics. Otherwise just take one or two members of the cast and have them coach a new team with Bombay being the mentor figure that Hans was.
Side note, I have a fantasy hockey team through espn. My team name is "District 5 - InMemoryOfHans"

Charlie has retired from the world of Hockey and runs a quiet little shop in town. Adam has sold out and become the Wayne Gretzky of his time. Charlie secretly envies Adam while Adam has forgotten what it's like to play for the love of the game. Julie is kidnapped by Iceland and won't be released until they get a rematch with the team that defeated them at the Jr. Olympics. Adam and Charlie have to work through their differences and issues to get the team back together and save the girl.
Took me all of ten seconds, i'm sure they can work with that.
