Well if you look at it that way, they do have a more indie side, but as far as songwriting and song structures, they are very STD and TGUKS-ish. Nobody Puts Baby is a good example of this.

Stump sounds good on record, but when it comes to live shows I'd rather hear Tom and Mark. The times I've heard FOB live were painful, Stump was horribly off key. Your argument about Blink making records for 13 year old girls is a bad one, especially when you're comparing them to FOB, FOB has more 13 year old girls following them than most. I think many feel that FOB has gotten progressively worse simply because most of them feel like their music becomes less enjoyable each record. I loved TTTYG, thought a handful of FUTCT songs were decent, IOH only had a couple I liked, and I found nothing enjoyable about Folie à deux. I gave every record of theirs a try and simply can't enjoy anything but TTTYG. They tried new things, but for me none of them worked.

this was the hardest of all fights for me to vote, on one hand the band that started my love for music, if it wasn't for blink182 i think i wouldn't be on this site voting now, or hearing 99% of the music i have on my ipod, really blink-182 changed my life

on the other hand fob has been my favorite band since tttyg era the band i have met in person, i've seen the twice here in mexico front row, went to their soundcheck for their sports palace concert, have 3 signed records from them... guess i'm kind of a fangirl for this band and i'm not ashamed to say it, tttyg and futct really saved my life, both records mend my heart fro mthe greatest pain a girl have caused me and that's something i really counted
