I have true love for music, innovation, and design. I've recently been asked to build an online web portal/community for a band that will be independently releasing their debut LP in a few months. This site will be used to offer additional content that complements the album and gives listeners a deeper glimpse into the music, the band, and their lives.

I've been doing researching as I begin to build this website and I've already found many beneficial threads here on AP.net. I've read through the "Fan Clubs" posting on the main page a few months ago: http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=935152 and also read the "Most 'Fan Clubs' Suck." blog that Jason made awhile back: http://www.absolutepunk.net/journal.php?do=showcomments&j=1&e=131452 . Both of these posts helped shed some light into what kind of "goodies" that you, the music listeners, really want.

With a little background on my goals, I was hoping to get some additional feedback. Since the band I am working with is completely unsigned, the sky is the limit. No constraints from label big heads or CEOs stuck in their "traditional" ways. Through my brainstorming and research, I've decided to work with the band to include some of the following: high resolution album art, high-res concert posters, demos, album artwork and booklet, set lists, potential guitar/drum tabs written from the band, rejected t-shirt designs, lyrics, articles from the band discussing their song writing process, acoustic tunes, live recordings, and radio interviews.

The content offered will be similar to a fan club or street team except this will be completely free. What kind of other content would YOU want from your favorite bands?
