It couldn't be that Blink-182 revolutionized pop-punk. That couldn't be it.

I hope that whenever they tour here they bring Weezer as well. Seems unlikely for some reason, but yeah. I'm not too fussed about Fall Out Boy but I wouldn't mind if they were there too.

You know it's going to be a very specialtour when Fall Out Boy is the opening act. Did anyone else hear that AAR are also on the bill?

I heard about that. AAR hinted about it in an interview, but never really said anything definite.
But back to the OP. I really like Weezer, they are a great band. Fall Out Boy is alright, if they aren't playing Folie a Douche or whatever it's called. All in all I'm just kinda pissed that I'll have to wait to hear blink play.

I'm sure it'll be more than worth the wait.

well blink didn't "revolutionized pop-punk." so that definitely couldn't be it.

commercialized it
commercialized it
It's pop-punk, dumbass. Pop. as in popular. as in mainstream. as in COMMERCIALIZED.
And commercializing it is still a form of revolutionizing it, even if you don't like it.

This tour will end up having ridiculous prices
Stadiums are really impersonal

You have to be kidding me...

shut up. again, commercializing it IS revolutionizing it, whether you like it or not. sorry if you don't like it, but you have to face facts.

i do know what you mean, but making it more commercial DID progress it and influence it. Look at bands like ATL other fresh young bands of pop-punk today. Totally following in Blink's footsteps, not anyone else's. That's influence.
