Seems like Vince Young is leaning towards one more year at UT.

unless he gets hurt or does absolutely terrible next year. if he comes out now, he will probably be picked in the top 5 and i think he is a better QB then Leinart is.

I don't see how people say he is a better QB then Leinart is. Leinart won the Heisman last year. Has 2 National championships under his belt, would've been number one this year, will be number 2 this year, has been leading this team for 3 years now. He has proven himself over and over. As a passer Leinart is way ahead of Young in my opinion.

He has a chance to go back to school and learn one more year how to play the toughest position in sports better behind a great line at a great program. Or he could go a year early and get his ass kicked in the pros learning on the run. The injury thing is a sad situation to deal with, but staying one more year is the right move for quicker and longer term success at the next level.

I'm totally going to back up Leinert vs. Young on this thing.
Running QBs are cool, and fun, and sometimes hugely effective, but I'll take an intelligent passer with a great arm and good awareness over a running qb anyday.

I agree, Young can be decent in the pros, he can probably turn out to be like Brian Leftwich, but I don't think he has the passing form to be a star quarterback, especially not if he goes this year.

1. Houston
2. New Orleans
3. Tennessee
4. New York Jets
5. Green Bay
Which team will take Young? I don't see any of those teams selecting Young.

These people who say Vince Young over Matt Leinart are silly.

To be fair, they went from blake (worthless scrambling QB) to Brooks (worthless scrambling QB). I could almost see them being dumb enough to try for another running QB, with the hopes that its 3rd time as a charm.
But nobody wants to go to NO right now, so I doubt he would leave early to go there.

It would be wise for him to stay in one more year, his stock would improve if he stays healthy.
As for Leinhart, his stock will drop once he gets to the combine.

But NO would choose Leinart if they're smart.

He should definitely stay. Maybe Texas will get another shot at the title after they lose tonight then ;)

I think the hype surrounding Vince Young is a little bit much. Yes he is a good player, but I've barely heard any other Texas player mentioned in the last few weeks.

I hate to compare the two. But people thought Peyton's stock was going to drop in the combine. had a great college career, but people thought Ryan Leaf was better. Peyton turned out alright.

After a game like he's on pace for tonight, Vince Young might want to leave.
