Haha, without Chem my GPA would be close to a 4.0. I had to bust my ass for two years straight to raise my GPA in my gen ed classes just to get it over 3.5 because of those two Cs (and one in neuroscience. I don't know why I thought that class would be a good idea).

Sounds like your friend's an idiot. It doesn't matter much, getting in undergraduate is generally fairly easy anyway, so it probably won't matter.
