Been dying to see an Emery headliner for a while. They're also doing a small run of shows before this tour, one of them being in Colorado Springs June 10th. I'll definitely be there (and of course the Denver date for this tour) and post a setlist for that, it should provide a glimpse for what their set for this tour will look like. Also, Secret & Whisper and Ivoryline will be at select dates.

Cutthroat Collapse
The Party Song
The Smile, The Face
Rock N' Rule
Edge Of The World
Walls
Ponytail Parades
Listening To Freddie Mercury

Pretty much an awesome set, no encore though. This was an off date from the Zumiez Couch tour, so I assume we may be seeing some of these songs on the Summer Bailout tour.

i love emery to death but 1) they need longer sets if they are headlining and 2) the need to play different songs from the question, as much as i love freddie mercury, playing with fire, and studying politics, lets throw something else in there, like miss behaving

Here's some accessible Emery tunes to get you started:
Walls: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TjM1Un0Xluw
Listening To Freddie Mercury: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4J_M4J73Jc
Studying Politics: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VyQaVBEWeRU

If you want to give a whole album a spin, most people are probably gonna tell you to listen to "The Weak's End", but I'd honestly go with their incredible second album "The Question" first.

I went last night. I had to leave before emery cuz my friend was being a bitch (last show i ever take him to). The only setlist i remember is secret & whisper (In order):
You are familiar
Vanishing
XOXOXO
Spider Besider
Great White Wale
They were the main reason I went, but I thought they were way better when I saw them last year. Out of all the bands I saw, Matsod was easily the best. They had the most energy and best performance. This was my first time really listening to them and they won me over. I love how they are all fat men who look nothing like rockstars, and that their bassist is balding. I found that really amusing...I guess that's southern rock for ya.

So being the stalker that I am, I was on Emery's myspace and some kids were commenting about their great show, blah blah blah. But there were also some kids at the Austin show that said that Emery had cameras and they might have a dvd in the works? Does anyone, anyone at all, have any information about this?

i'd rather see emery and the other bands get more time than a local band play.

Went to the Cincy show last night. Sets were basically the same except Kiros threw in "Hurricane" and Maylene didnt play "Dry the River." Ivoryline's 6 song set consisted of:
Hearts and Minds
Be Still and Breathe
Remind Me I'm Alive
We Both Know
Day's End
The Last Words
Solid set by all bands. The sound was a bit off for Closure and it was hard to tell what was going on onstage tho. Also their lead singer looked like he was possessed...or something, lol. Sweethart sounded awesome though.

Yea seriously I'm Only a Man is the first record I ever heard from Emery and I absolutely loved it! It gets knocked way too much, Seeing them tonight in Tinley Park can't wait!

Emery was steller and played the same setlist listed earlier.

haha. it was only $15 and it was epic. i have a feeling their next tour will bring out more old ones. theyve been teasing at a weak's end tour for the past couple months.

you got it confused with the brand new/thrice tickets we were discussing at the same time, probably.

Went to the show last night, it was pretty good. I really enjoyed Emery the most but I was mostly going for them anyways. They had the same setlist posted here. In reply to what the last person said, I wish they had walls as their closer, it would have been much better.

Is Maylene still off the tour? If they are, has anyone replaced them? Or are they making longer sets for everyone else? Or just doing the normal sets and ending early? I'm going tomorrow in Charlotte.

Emery should be playing a 15 song set at least. 12 songs is way too short.

I agree, though the 12 song one was intense and fun.

I would have liked that too, especially since they have four full lengths and an EP out.

I just got back and it was insane. Maylene wasn't that appealing to me; just not my type (breakdown after breakdown). Kiros had so much energy and even if their music wasn't the best - but hot damn! They made Maylene seem like a bunch of awkward robots.
Ivoryline was surprisingly good and Closure in Moscow....well haha
So the main singer was dancing crazy, and at one point when the bass player was going low, he get's behind him and does a doggy style move....and he also grabbed his perineum. However most ppl there had never heard of them, so it only gave them a worse impression :{
Emery was insane. Moshing, crowds surfing. Absolutely intense. But yeah, 12 songs....waaay to short.

They were at my show, but they made no comment about dropping out/coming in.
