The lineup was supposed to include Rooney, who I didn't care for much, so I didn't mind that Limbeck got put in instead.
Limbeck was alright, though in concert all their songs sounded identical. I heard that on CD they are a little better. It was decent.
The Academy Is... rocked. They sang every song but one from their CD "Almost Home." It was a long set and we loved every minute of it. The lead singer is such a performer, he was dancing and getting into it, it made it fun. But I just love them, so... I might be biased.
Finally, AAR came out. The singer's voice got a little annoying, but it was manageable. The lead guitar player was insane, I thought he was going to hit someone on stage. He was fun to watch. At one point, I wasn't dancing or anything and I think they called me out. "Hey, mother f*cker dance!" the singer said and yelled at me. I felt special, just for one moment.
Overall, a good show. I'm stoked for the FOB / AAR / HH tour (though I don't like Hawthorne).
