Below is a message from Phil Pirrone of A Static Lullaby.
Nate Lindeman and I have quit A Static Lullaby because of creative differences.
We have a new poject and are currently in the studio recording new material. Look for news on that in the near future. We don't have a name for the band yet, but we have a handful of songs that we're recording and things are moving along rather quickly. With a little luck, I think we'll be able to play live in the Spring and possibly tour nationwide in the Summer. When we have a website and a myspace we'll let ya know.

Information regarding a show where we are performing in January:
Saturday, January 21, 2006
The Glass House
Pomona, CA
with:
Finch & Rx Bandits (together as one band "SUPERBAND", performing covers) Finch (playing a set of Finch songs) Satori (featuring members of Rx Bandits) Phil & Nate (performing Beatles and Pink Floyd songs) $15.00 all proceeds go to help me (phil pirrone) with medical bills, which have soared over $300,000. I could use all the help I could get.
It should be a good time. If your parents or your friends parents like Pink Floyd or the Beatles you should bring them.
Peace,
- Phil Pirrone

I think Phil's project is going more towards a creative sound rather than the old ASL sound. With the direction ASL is going now, it was probably the right time for them to jump ship. I hope it turns out good.

I think A Static Lullaby should stop making such songs like "Stand Up" and more creative/energetic songs like "Modern Day Fire" or "Withered" or at least kick Joe out.

ASL is hands down one of the worst bands I ever saw live, absolutely terrible, I wasn't a fan of them before I saw them and they just cemented that for me afterwards, they just didn't seem like a band

I believe that Phil and Nate probably were more for the "Faso Latido" sound than Joe. I would look for the new ASL to be closer to "Until Your Heart Stops" and the Phil and Nate project to be closer to that of Faso.

Also, apparently Dave, the drummer, is also gone.

weird, Phill wrote not so long ago, that ASL is stronger and better than ever, and they're writing new material (when he was out of the hospital), seems like they didn't realize than that they want to do something else and it has parted them, anyway, i like Dan's voice, i want to hear new record, i think there will be more scream too, we'll see, and Phill was a little underrated in ASL, that's good that he will be lead singer

Uh, if this is a new and separate project, I'd prefer it come nowhere near that sound.

I've known Phil since he was 14 years old. He has more heart than most of the musicians I've met. I think the world of him and I know this new band will be just as successful if not more than ASL.

Maybe the next ASL will give Joe a chance to be a bigger part of ASL other than the one guy who doesn't play an instrument and only screams a couple of lines and ends up with nothing to do most of their set. Phil has a good voice but I always thought he was meant for something other than ASL, and the rest of ASL have potential to be much better. Hopefully this is what will make ASL stronger and not this flaky shit I almost bought.

You meant "...And Don't Forget To Breathe"...

Anyways, I can't understand the general hatred towards Faso Latido. I don't think it sounds much different from ADFTB, and I like it a lot. Great song writing, good riffs, awesome vocals. It's among my top20 favourite CDs of 2005.

Yeah, exactly.8) I'm way too freaking tired... I personally would prefer it if ASL modified their sound to be closer to that of "Beyond Hypothermia".

I agree with whoevers raggin on faso latido, its noway near as good as ..dont forget to breathe, that album is just raw and fuckin great whereas ,i dunno, the new one was just more polished .. which took some of the fun away for me cause ..its nice to know that a band is human and can make mistakes albeit small ones. Good luck to the guys leaving Asl and..i dunno if id want it to sound like old asl you know cause that would just not be that surprising.. i'd like to believe they are cookin up something really special/ fresh.. that would be great..

Oh well. At least I got to see em play a sweet set at the Bamboozle (I counted 4 old songs, 2 new ones, 1 cover... They knew what the people wanted!). I <3 Dan the most, anyway.

I agree. Their set at Bamboozle was great. They kinda sucked trying to cover the Everlasting Gaze though.
