Under the As the Sun Sets moniker, yes, but Daughters themselves haven't been around for that long. Their first release was the S/T 7" that didn't hit until Sep. 2002. I like Daughters mind you, but I'd say they popped up when the genre was at its "cool" peak.

I talking about daughters and ASTS combined. They sound different, but principles were the same. When daughters released there first 7 inch grind definetly was not "cool". It was the thursday, TBS rage. Now # 12, Locust are huge. If Daughters released Canada Songs last year, they would have gotten 10x as much press and response than when they did in 03? I think it was 03. Im just saying, grind has become a household genre. I think the new album will be pretty big if hydra head puts them to the right fans. If you havent heard the songs already they are slower and longer but just as intense. Good stuff.

the only time i saw them play, it was in a garage with about 20 kids, everyone in the band was either in their underwear or naked, and they played for a grand total of 8 minutes. it was interesting.

agreed ive seen em twice and both were some of the best shit ever but they're usually coked out and pissed off. Lex always trys to make out with someone. he pissed on himself the first time i saw them.

i respect the band and the music. their scumbags but the thing is they fuckin love it so thats cool i guess.
