Congratulations to Anything August (http://www.anythingaugust.com) on winning the seventh annual University of Northern British Columbia's Battle of the Bands. The currently unsigned band will be heading into the studio with Travis Saunders (Stutterfly (http://www.stutterfly.com), thebleedingalarm (http://www.thebleedingalarm.com)) to finish recording their upcoming EP The Trip Home, set to be released later this year.

not to rain on their parade, they're good musicians for sure, but seriously, how many bands that sound exactly the same does it take for people to say 'enough is enough'?

I think they've managed to bring in enough of their own unique influences to build their own sound. Half the band doesn't even listen to emo/screamo/punk. Their new stuff they are going to record is extremely good as well.

I live in Northern BC and wouldn't pay two bucks to see this band.
