i forget what analyst said it but if indy lose, it would probably be early. they seem to be a pretty hurting unit right now.

i have a good friend who's a diehard steelers fan who feels the same way. but the people on this site are for the most part convinced the nfl is fixing games to help the pats and fuck the steelers. good for you though, i'm pulling for you to get to the championship game for gambling reasons.

yeah. i see us realistically in denver for the afc championship game.

i have noticed some of the fellow steeler fans on this board seem to be a bit bitter.

but, i actually like my team, so i have all the confidence in the world in them.

It already happened in 97 when the NFL wanted Favre vs. Elway.

haha, I love how we squabble over NFL teams. I think the most passionate and hate-filled fans are Premier league fans and rugby fans. They would wish death upon their children if they chose the opposing side

Yep. I've rooted for Man. U for about 7 years now... although lately I've been rooting for Tottenham. And yet... I'm still more of a rabid soccer fan that I am a Bengals fan and I've been a Bengals fan all my life.

I would like to see it because it would take away some of the bullshit side stories that they have to come up with to cover 2 weeks of dead air time. They find a few compelling stories, and then there are always 2 stories that have people being connected by like a game back in high school and how since one side won, they will win the Super Bowl, it gets tedious.

A Manning-Manning match-up would be a guarantee for Peyton though, because I think Eli would crumble under that pressure.

It's not gonna happen, Carolina is gonna beat NYG tomorrow.

Not a guarantee for Peyton, more like a guarantee for their defense, only because they are at home. They would rattle Eli in the Superbowl. I think the Giants would defensively get to Peyton Manning and slow down(notice how i didnt say stop) the run. But his passing game would kill their secondary. I'm pulling for this match up, but i doubt it's goin down.

if by "at home" you mean Detroit, Michigan, then i agree.
However, i'm not pulling for it, because i'm tired of all the slurping of the Manning family. It's getting old.

I know, Steve Smith is gonna hurt them something bad, but I can dream. I mean, come on, I have Pittsburgh winning the super bowl and Kansas winning the Big 12, i'm not locked into reality.

Yeah, sorry. I meant it's basically like they are home in Detroit in a dome.

yeah.

I don't want the whole Manning showdown thing because I don't want to have Archie be Laura Quinned like the OSU-ND game.

I mean, Laura isn't the hottest chick in town, but she's a bit more attractive than archie.
