Hey guys!

Hope you took the time to check out the Cavil at Rest exclusive download (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=106514)! Lookout for another installment next week. AbsolutePunk exclusives is something that you'll be seeing throughout this year. We're going to be offering a lot of first listens for your most anticipated records. In the works now are Kevin Devine, Punchline, Joe Wilson (Feeling Left Out), and many MANY others. Let me know A) if there are specific records you'd LOVE to hear a first exclusive from B) if you can think of a cooler name for this program than AbsolutePunk Exclusives.

Otherwise my recommendations would be:

The Pale Pacific (http://www.purevolume.com/thepalepacific) - If you like Death Cab at all or spectacular slightly dark indie-pop, then this is allll you.

This is Me Smiling (http://www.myspace.com/thisismesmiling) - I was recommending this band a lot a while back, but I have to once more. Their self titled which is now outdated is just super in every way. Whatever comes next should be a slice of New York Pizza. Yes... that good.

Portugal. The Man (http://www.myspace.com/portugaltheman) - Man, this is just good to listen to. You HAVE to at least listen to it, cause it's an intriguing blend of many different sounds and influences including the Blood Brothers, Mars Volta, and that kick-ass Seattle sound. Plus... Nic Newsham on guest vox? I'm SOLD.

Also, Rocky (http://www.myspace.com/rockyvotolato), Mates of State (http://www.myspace.com/matesofstate), and The Elected (http://www.myspace.com/theelected) are all coming up... hallelujah

Spot on again, my friend. You're so consistant. Can't wait for those KD and FLO exclusives, either.

I can't believe you would compare an awesome CHICAGO band to a slice of New York pizza...that's blasphemy if I've ever heard it...
