if he goes to Tenn he might get some time to get better....but he's no where near an NFL QB yet...just raw talent

David Carr's was even worse. And while he hasn't exactly played well (I blame his shitty o-line), his motion is a lot better and he can make throws.

I find that really stupid. He should just stay at Texas another year.

not even a top 5 choice. his stock will cool off after his workouts. everyone knows he can run ..he hasta prove he has the ability to win with his arm.

I wonder if he'll go top 3...

1. Texans - Bush
2. Saints - Leinart/Young
3. Titans - Leinart/Young

Both those teams need a QB, and McNair was at the Rose Bowl as a mentor for Young. There is no doubt in my mind he will go top 3.

I almost totally agree. Young should really, really stay another year. It's better for him and his future, in my opinion.

you realize everyone said leinart should stay another year, it would help him a lot, yada yada yada.

now everyone says Bush will go before him, and Young MAY go before him. Staying didn't get him another heisman, didn't get him another championship, and could have potentially hurt his draft position. why risk injury or anything else that ppl say is a sure thing when he could go into the nfl and start making millions (and after he has talked about his poverty situation, money is probably a big influence for him).

I have to wonder, is everyone from Boston a cocky asshole who thinks their opinion on sports is Elite because they have the Patriots and Red Sox, or is it just you?

Haha, even though the Red Sox suck.

i know why he should stay in school, but why would he? He'll be a top 3 pick, and the whole working out for the scouts thing won't hurt him much, as they make it as easy as possible to make qb's look like gods in those workouts.

He should come out, from a financial aspect.

Even though he'll never return what a top 3 pick should to their team.

Yes... Fiesta Bowl 4 out of 5 years! I'd like to see an Ohio State v. Notre Dame rematch.

why? why should he stay?

staying in college wont help his awful throwing motion. he beat goliath. he has nothing left to prove in the college ranks.

if he goes now or if he goes next year, hes still gonna suck in the NFL it doesnt matter.

mechanics baby.

wait until his offensive coordinator tries to change the way he play and not let him do what mack brown did and just let him play. he'll be all over the field throwing.

YouMadeTheScene
01/09/06, 02:08 AM
It's already been said that they aren't even going to correct his throwing motion in the NFL because it is so out of wack that changing it would basically make him obsolete as a passer.

Even if not for the immediate money problem, he won't change his throwing style next year in a way that makes him better off for the future. I agree with everything you said, even if he wins the Heisman and a national championship next year, Brady Quinn will go over him because he is a better QB. The highest he will go is this year (I think he goes at #3) because of the hype surrounding him

Tennessee Titans - Matt Leinart - QB

make it happen
I see Leinart going before young, thus to New Orleans. Vince Young, to me, seems like a Steve McNair type fit, so why not put a younger model in their after giving him a year or two to learn from the older guy (yes, I think McNair has a year or two left, because the Titans aren't Super Bowl contenders regardless of who they have at QB next year).

I hope Leinart refuses to go to New Orleans, causing him to go to Tenn...there is no way Vince Young can take a hit like McNair can

if the saints wanted to pick matt leinart second, he'd pull an eli. imagine him going from being in the center of attention in los angeles, to a team that needs to rebuild or may not even have a home. i could see young playing for the saints more than i could see leinart.

I think it'll go
1. bush
2. Leinart
3. Young.

but, Young's no McNair. he's not nearly as tough. Young won't ever live up to being a top 5 pick, which would make him, in my mind, a bust. I don't think he's the next akili smith (that goes to Alex Smith), but he won't have as good of a career as the #3 pick in the draft should.

i really hope not, because beyond the hurricane they are a piss-poor team without a coach. l.a. should get an expansion team(as should san antonio).

mikeford

yeah, but you and i both know thats not gonna happen. with teams like AZ and NO failing to draw, teams will move before more expansion happens.

I'm not being particular to this thread. Most of your comments are that of a cocky, assholish nature. I'm just telling you to tone it down a bit, there's no need for it, it's only a message board, we don't need to go at each other's throats to discuss sports.
