So, I need new tunes people. I've been in a huge music slump. The last CD I got was well over a month ago, the Men, Women and Children CD.

So.. Anyone have any great things they could reccomend

Pretty much, I have enough pop punk as it is and dont want anymore ever. I'm bored with it.

I'm in love with Men, Women and Children, anything in that style like HA, The Faint, !!!. Stuff like that.

I've also been listening to The Format, The Mountain Goats, Guster, Stephen Malkmus and Pavement.

So anything in the vein of those styles of music. That would be awesome.

Here is some of what I have been listening to lately:

Animal Collective - an experimental indie band but with catchy melodies and unique song structures

Rocky Votolato - singer/songwriter, maybe kinda sorta like Damien Rice, he is actually the brother of Cody Votolato, guitarist for Blood Brothers

Django Reinhardt - you might not be into it but this dude is a gypsy jazz guitarist from the 1930s and he is excellent if you can get past the sub par recording quality. The man only has 2 fingers and a stub but skill wise he can own Jimmi Hendrix and he only has half the fingers.

id say start listening to indie hip hop....because its gonna be last years "hardcore".
you'll be one step ahead of the scenesters.
