there are a ton of older songs that werent on the ep out there, take some time to look, some of their best songs are those demos

I don't understand why this is such a suprise to everyone. It seems to be a pattern with drive-thru always pushing back releases a couple months... The reason that they can headline shows with only and ep is like everyone else has been saying, they have way more material than whats on the ep. I have at least 30 different hellogoodbye songs on my computer.

Thats pretty much the only song I like by them. Everything else sounds like garbage.

Homewrecker isn't horrible either. But songs like "Jesse buy nothing, go to prom anyways!" and "bonnie taylor shakedown 2k4" don't even make sense.

but in the end, hellogoodbye arent much of a serious band.

Too pretty much help out with all this hoopla, Drive-Thru doesn't like their distrobuter. If things are getting pushed back its for a reason. Most of 2005 was spent signing and building their new roster, Alot went into studio to record amazing cds. Alot got alot of money to tour. No one knows what Richard has in store for 2006. I don't consider dtr had a mediocer year. I think they built a foundation, sure the albums and eps from the new bands might not of been so great. BUT, that can not be said for all. Lots of the bands that came out with albums or ep's this year have blown up, or is helping them blow up. Which was the goal. The end of 2006 we'll see some great releases, and DTR will be on top again, with no doubt. DTR is trying to get a new distro deal. Most of the discs are completed or upon completion. Richard just is trying to help the bands touch them up and make them even better. Once they have a new deal they can release everything, of course it will be pushed back becasue they dont want Sanctuary to release it.

When Sanctuary releases a DTR album it will come out weeks or a month past in a store, because they are really shitty.

Quit your bitching. If their material on the Hellogoodbye DVD is a taste of what's to come, it will be worth the wait. I can't wait to hear a studio version of "Here in Your Arms," but I've got a bootleg version from their DVD that will tide me over until May. :)
