I read the book a long time and I am really glad to see the story coming to life on the big screen. The trailer looks great, but it was very sad!

LOLed hard at the premise of this book. Such trite, sensationalist BS.

I watched the trailer for this a while ago and unfortunately spoiled it for myself because I read the Wikipedia page. I don't think I'd ever want to watch it in theaters, though. It's too depressing.

It is ridiculously depressing but every girl I've ever seen or heard of reading this book has loved it. Most of Piccoults stuff in fact.

I am only on page 50, but it's really good so far. I usually don't get hooked on books, but I am trying to find time to read this one! haha
I recommend it, it's only like $5.97 at Wal-Mart, definitely read it.

Anyone seeing this tomorrow? I am hoping to, although I really want to finish the book I have about 150 pages left.

Don't. Know if I could/want to watch this movie...it would mess me up.

And I would cry like a little girl, I am sure.

Most over rated author ever. Also, the end of the movie is changed.

Just finished the book. Now that I have heard the ending isn't the same it kind of makes me mad, I thought the ending was really good (and incredibly sad), and I was looking at the cast on IMDB and it doesn't look like Julia made it into the movie. Really enjoyed her character in the book.

As long as they don't make a non-Lifetime movie for The Pact, there is hope.

finish the book first. the movie and the book have completely different endings! i just got back from seeing it and was pretty shocked at how they changed the ending. it was still a good movie, though. if your definition of a good movie is one that makes you cry from beginning to end.

Just got back, and personally I thought the book was a hundred times better. I liked the ending in the book more, although the one in the movie seemed to flow better. I just thought some of the parts of the movie were awkward too, kind of disappointed with the movie.

I read this book three years ago and cried my face off. It was the first of Jodi Picoult's books I've read, and now my bookshelf is infested with them. I recommend reading it, whether you see the movie or not. Can't wait to see this sometime next week.

I thought the movie was good. Of course not as good as the book, but I still enjoyed it. Everyone played their characters well.
I loveddd how they did the Kate/Taylor relationship.
