i've been listening to this band for quite some time now, probably about 6 or 7 years. the only way i can describe them is expiremental/alternative/eerie... i know that sounds weird, but it's because they're weird.

i highly recommend checking them out, and am surprised there isn't a thread on them already. their lead singer/lyricist/producer John Congleton is an amazing musician. he mixes together so many sounds, samples, and hard piano together. he has done production work for many talented artist:

(this is just copied and pasted from his wiki)

they have a large discography (5 full lengths, 3 ep's, multiple split/single vinyls) but i'd recommend starting out with What Big Teeth You Have EP. it has only three songs, but totals at about 20 minutes or so if i remember correctly. one original song, and two covers. this EP covers their "faster" songs as well as their "slower" songs.

please check them out and let me know what you think.

their album "someday this could all be yours" is one of the best albums from this year

I love Young Bodies Heal Quickly, You Know and Hide the Kitchen Knives, but haven't enjoyed anything since really. He's an awesome producer though, produced White Fields and Open Devices by Vessels which sounds amazing.

God Bless Your Black Heart, which sucks, and Now You Are One of Us, which is mediocre. Haven't heard the new album though.

okay, i disagree, but i'm not sure if you'll like the new one if you don't like those albums.
