It isn't Bush's stance on immigration that is the problem, its the lack of enforcemnet from mexican authorities, many of whom are corrupt. the border with mexico is a serious threat to the US, as is Canada's, where any terrorist can walk across the border with out any problems.

the emancipation proclamation was actually a BRIBE to get the south to rejoin the union. Lincoln gave the south 100 days(til jan 1st of the new year) to rejoin or all the slaves would be freed.

EXCEPT

In Delaware, Kansas, Maryland, and Missouri., and several other select areas.

Reason Being:
Lincoln didn't want these 4 "border states" who did not secede with the rest of the south, but were slave states to secede and give the south more power. Lincoln never cared about slavery and had no interest in dealing with it.

Oh i forgot your the one who doesn't know history. See in the south there were these people called DixieCrats (or southern democrates) who didn't like black people voting, so they used poll taxes, literacy test, and other things to keep them from voting.
So the voting rights act of 1965 was passed which,

"empowered the federal government to oversee voter registration and elections in counties that had used tests to determine voter eligibility or where registration or turnout had been less than 50 percent in the 1964 presidential election. Please tell me of the wonderful "non biased, non profit papers" because I really would like to see them. Maybe if Tinkerbell will sprikle me with pixie dust I can fly to Neverland and find them.
