Villanova lost to WVU by 4, while UConn lost to Marquette by 25.

Because Uconn has been terrible lately and just played like 4 cupcakes in a row, and then got crushed in their 1st real game since Maui, and then barely beat LSU

When your undefeated and the teams in front of you lose ...you move up. Hence, Florida is #2. They're deserving of that spot too until they lose a game.

The SEC is weak this year, Florida may very well go undefeated (though I think they lose away at LSU or Kentucky).

Florida hasn't played a tough schedule, but they've beaten the teams presented to them and have done so in convincing fashion.

Duke is hands down #1 though ..wins against Memphis, Indiana, Texas, and Wake Forest ...nobody can touch that resume right now.

they should, they have no real challenges with the way their team is playing, theyr sophomores are awesome

Marquette is a bad loss, regardless of the score. The fact that it was by 25, I'm suprised they would stay in the top 5 honestly.

At least Gay got called out by his coach. "The only thing he showed up for was the starting line-up", if that doesn't fire him up, nothing will

Yep, with that weakened SEC they look good to be a 1 seed come tourney time. I don't think they will support the seed, probably only a Sweet 16 team, but they are gonna look pretty in the regular season.

With their schedule, they could lose a few games and still be #1 nationally come season's end, but I don't even think they lose a game. In the tourney, they will march their way to the Final Four, maybe with one team getting within 10 points of them. They are dominant right now.

Imagine if those Florida players had stayed at college, instead of going undrafted and rotting on NBA benches and in the NBDL (i.e. Matt Walsh, Anthony Roberson).

Totally agree about Duke. I thought this was going to be an incredible year for college hoops, but a lot of teams have been let-downs. I thought UCONN was the kind of team to avoid slip ups, along with Villanova. Texas looked like an elite team on paper, but haven't shown up for a few games.

There's still plenty of time for these teams to get their act together ..but right now it looks like Duke is in a class by itself.

there must be something about donovan that makes these kids want to get the hell out of there. i've never seen so many unqualified kids from one school declare early.

uconn was a little sloppy tonight against cincy, gay looks totally disinterested, but Hilton Armstrong continues to look good. Quality win against a good team, but they still have a lot to work on.

So much raw athleticism too. I see him being an NBA bust if he doesn't find motivation from somewhere. He is one of 3 or 4 players that HAVE to play well for their team to contend for the nat'l championship this year. Him and Daniel Gibson are two playes that should be leading dominant teams, but they aren't.

he could be an nba bust, but will still be picked first.....ok maybe top 3

Oh yeah, he'll go high, but he needs the drive to be great
