IGN gave it a 8.7, lacks the college atmosphere but great gameplay. Next year with more time they will be able to capitalize on the atmosphere. I cant wait for this game.

you can't go wrong with a University of Texas, or one of the "cal state" teams or a florida team like Miami, or UF, or FSU or something. Think, souther big time football schools, and california schools. they generally have good baseball programs, i find.

I kinda like analog hitting. I took some getting used to, but I'm starting to come around on it. The first game I played with it, I got shut out and had like, 3 hits. Steadily increased that to 7 runs and 16 hits a few games later.

I'm in JV difficulty, too. Once I get more used to it I'll up that to all-american.

So far I am loving Load and Fire hitting. It took me awhile to get my timing down and realize it is best to load your swing right after the pitch is released.

I am beating San Diego something 5-0 right now with Stanford, the hits just keep coming. I am on Varsity level and I am thinking about moving it up in a couple of games.

Before you play the game, you can choose the time of day (between 10 AM and 8 PM) and the wind direction/speed. I'm not sure if you can change it to cloudy or anything like that yet, I'll get back to you.

I've given up on the analog throwing system, i fucking hate it.

It's the exact same pitching system from MVP 05, I wish I could bump the pitching level to the highest level and leave hitting on varsity because I haven't exactly gotten 100% used to it yet.

Use the gameplay tuning, go into your options and make the user pitch meter harder. I did that and I am getting much more realistic results.

The analog hitting is STILL killing me. I have no plate patience, and even when I CAN wait for a pitch, I always hit it the wrong way.
Me too, I want to fucking kill myself. But once I get it down, it will be all worth it.

Same here. Sometimes when I have a terrible hitter come up I practice working patience and I've drawn a few walks that way.

I'm doing a dynasty now with Southern Illinois, just won the first game 10-8 in 15 innings, against #10 Ole Miss. It was intense.

I'm using the classic hitting (it's the same as MVP 04 and MVP 05, games I own, and rented continuously, respectively) and I'm getting 5-8 runs in an average game, on varsity difficulty.

I got nasty at analog hitting but my thumb started hurting and I switched to zone the last few games.

I dig the recruiting system. I'm so picky about baseball though and the award system's lack of options bothers me. I want to chose which TPX and Easton bats to hit with but you can only hit with the certain bat they give you.

I love facing the pitchers that expose the ball before they throw it because you can see what pitch is coming before he throws it with the hitters eye. I lit up Georgia Tech for 16 runs in 7 innings.

Presentation has long been the down fall of any EA Sports games. Dont forget, they didnt have the normal amount of time to work on this though, next years version will be better in so many ways. I cant wait.
