There's a rumor going around saying that an Angels and Airwaves (http://www.angelsandairwaves.com)/AFI (http://www.afireinside.net) tour will be happening sometime in the summer.

i could see some limited-music -genre enthusiast's not being pleased about this, especially if AAA ended up opening for AFI

Do I really want to pay a million dollars to see the Lebron James of music and the Marcus Vick of music?
Considering that BCR took H20 out (which, admittedly, not that many blink fans were familiar with), it would give a ton of exposure to AFI and Davey already came out and said he heard the new album and gave really good feedback.

I can totally see this happening.

Either way, they've promised that the live show is going to be nothing short of a spectacle. No matter what the album sounds like, the show will definitely be cool to see.

please, this is just delonges arrogance running as thick as ever. he couldnt possibly stand to play at smaller venues on his own, so he has to team up with AFI to what will probably them be playing in monster venues. jesus he needs to get over himself.

yes well somebody once promised me that i'd get my money's worth at a fall out boy show. that might have been true if i had been payed $50 to go to it. somebody tell pete that i want my $15 back.

it's a rumor fella's. i cant post a source because i told them i wouldnt. i know, that sounds stupid and makes me look bad but i still cant. i also saw this popping up in a few places,a nd waited for someone to actually tell me that these plans are being thought out. so take it for what it is , and that's just a rumor right now. anyways, i hope it happens. if it gets denied by someone credible i will take the post down but as for right now, noone has denied it.

This would be amazing. And I'm sure AFI would do a tour of smaller venues before this to coincide with the release of their new album.

I agree. Nobody even knows what Angels and Airwaves sound like. It's all just hype at this point. I remember the disappointment of Boxcar Racer so hopefully this is much different. Still any tour with AFI is good in my book.

Yeah, trusting the singer in a band that continues to hype up his own album is a smart decision.

you know when people have been a fan of his music for over ten years, some people learn that maybe he speaks the truth, at least to them .. plus they have a stellar lineup .. it can't be bad .. maybe not great like he says, but at least okay.

Stellar line up, the only other person recognized was Atom Willard, who the fuck are the other two?

I wonder if they'll play music on this tour or if they'll just show awkwardly edited clips set to distorted guitars and talk about how great their eventual album will be.

I guess that tour would be in America. Very very cool nonetheless. And yeah, on the Macbeth site there is a picture of Davey Havok with Tom in the studio...and it said he loved what he was hearing.
Also, Taking Back Sunday said Angels and Airwaves is amazing!!

my theory on aaa's show, tom delonge, in a thong, ok? dancing...singing a little here and there. a bunch of angels....midgets maybe flying around him and the "stage", then the "stage" is going to turn into a retro c.1,000 b.c. type deal for gladitors (forgive my spelling) and such. then tom's going to man-handle himself while suspended above a crowd probably around 300,000. this is all going to be done while he plays sigur ros in the backround, but thats just how i feel...

Mini Warped Tour? Please? Look at your name, falloutboylover? Arent they going out on tour with the all american rejects and hawthorne heights? Okay that is what i thought.
I pray this isn't true, unless AFI is headlining and it is a club tour.
AFI went platinum with Sing The Sorrow, and Blink-182 has gone platinum 10+ (?) times.. so I imagine I'm wrong. Who knows though..
Ashlee Simpson and even people like 50 Cent haven't done arena tours lately.. and they've sold a lot of records and are very popular. What are some recent bands that are punk-pop/emocore/etc that have done arena tours?
I only can think of the upcoming FOB, MCR/Alk3, and Civic Tours.. but I'm sure there are more.
