I think this poll will be much more interesting when we have more than one new Star Trek movie and we ask which of the "new" generation films do you prefer? I definitely like the original 3 Star Wars more than the old school Star Trek, but the new Trek film was easily better than any of the prequels for Star Wars (Sith was ok, the other two weren't too good IMO)

I did that. We had lightsaber battles in the walkway before the movie started. Fun times.

Both are good, although neither has ever really made me fall in love with them.
However the new Star Trek film I personally enjoyed more than any of the Star Wars films.

Star Wars all the way. There's not another movie that I remember watching for the first time so vividly. By all standards of today it's not that great of a movie from an acting, directing or even special effects level. And the Story is hardly original (it's just a western but in outer space), but I can't think of a more magical film (expect for maybe the Jim Henson live-action movies of the 80's).
