And when people say that he's lost his musical touch they are blatantly lying. Invincible is the best album of his entire career. It's flawless. The production is so ahead of it's time that in ten years we still won't have albums that sound that good. Thriller is stunning, of course, but it's not his best album by any means. Actually, not to defend America's greediness, but that woman had second or third degree burns because McDonalds kept/keeps their coffee extraordinarily hot so that they don't have to continually make new pots and the employee didn't properly put the lid on. So I would have to say that that case is pretty legit.

As for Michael Jackson, like others have said, I would have nothing to go by besides what the jury decides. I have no insight into the situation, so I will trust that they get it right.

actually, that lawsuit was far from frivolous, the one of the main points of it was that mcdonald's kept their coffee at a temperature that was far above any kind of industry standard (be it for restaurants, coffee makers, etc.) than was needed. Thus, they were negligent and putting their customers at serious risk for no reason at all. Had the coffee been kept at the appropriate temperature, the woman would have never suffered the burns that she did, at least not ones quite as serious. Also, it was hardly the first case of its kind and McDonald's usually just settled all the other ones without all the media hooplah.

p.s. yes I do know what I'm talking about...I'm not a lawyer, but I am a law student and we spent a significant amount of time discussing this case and the claims people make about it being the quintessential "frivolous" lawsuit in America.
