first band based on cool/angry/awesome-killer-guitar-riffs/headbangin/jumpin around/Dance (bands like Rage Against, Nofx, Dead Kennedys, Ramones .. u know what bands makes u feel like this)

or a band based on meaningful lyrics/emotional feelings are flyin around/takes u in another place/bring u tears (bands like Muse, emo bands, alt. rock bands like Fray, Lifehouse e.t.c)

if u had to choose and listen it for ur rest of ur life .. or maybe start a band .. which one you would choose for your band .. what makes u feel better to play? something who will make u say "oh that was touching" or "hell yeah that fuckin rocks" ... !

I get what you mean dude, like the emo side is music that is filled with emotional, meaningful lyrics that make you think a lot and you might identify with when thinking about certain things in your life. Doesn't mean its all about being negative, but life is full of emotion. Versus the cool side which is awesome guitar riffs, a lot of times metal bands, puts out a lot of just awesome music that you can rock out too and have a good time.

Personally, i like the meaningful lyrics. I couldn't listen to the cool music for the rest of my life. Its fun but 5 years after im not gonna play the cool song much, and the emo song ill play and it will bring back memories and ill still be genuinely interested in the song

PS I think you should have titled it something like emotional vs coolness. I think seeing the word emo immediately makes people not want to pick that option, lol

This was a hard one b/c I like my "emo" music and my "cool" music as well as a ton of other genres!But I guess I would go with "emo" b/c I like meaningful songs...but I really think there should of been better options.

Although it took my reading some of the interpretations of others in order to understand what you're looking for, I do understand what you're asking now. I would choose meaningful lyrics over rockin' music if I had to listen to certain bands or certain styles of music for the rest of my life. If it was for my own band - I'd probably choose rockin' music if I couldn't play more than one style.
