So upset I am missing these shows, I hope they go on a tour closer to where I am. Wish I had the funds to drive out there.

Yeah, I got a setlist too and I was confused that 14 Balloons and If All Else Fails were listed under EXTRA. I would have loved to see them both. I heard someone yelling for 14 Balloons too, hah.
Great show. I felt old though because it seemed like the majority of people around me were half my age and less than half my height. But the majority of them filtered out before MBR. I got one of the posters, too.
I have to get up at 7am for work tomorrow, but this show was totally worth it. I missed these guys so much.

haha yea when we looked at the setlist we were like "WHAT?!?! WHY DIDN'T THEY PLAY THESE?!" my friend was dying to hear 14 balloons and I really would have liked to hear If All Else Fails. we were even more bummed at that point cuz they were on the setlist but didn't get played. we were also a bit upset that the crowd wasn't that great. it was better at the knitting factory and we thought it was gonna be way better at the jersey show but we were pretty disappointed. that bands were all great though. i would have been jumping around going crazy all night if i didn't have a broken ankle.
and i totally get what you mean about feeling old. i mean i'm only gonna be 22 but everyone around us looked so young.

Yeah, honestly I wasn't TOO upset about no 14 Balloons only because I'm pretty sure just about every time I've seen MBR, they've played it. I don't think I've seen them play If All Else Fails yet, which is why I really wanted to hear it. :(

Does anyone know what acoustic song Dan (Just Surrender) played tonight in Poughkeepsie?
Thank you!
PS- Both Just Surrender and Matchbook Romance was epic tonight. Both of those bands are amazing!<3

The show tonight at The Note in West Chester was pretty good. Love the venue, and they also serve food (Tater Tots!)
Anyways we got there in time to catch some of The Color Fred's set (just Fred solo acoustic tonight). He sounded pretty good and finished his set with Taking Back Sunday's New American Classic, which was pretty cool. Just Surrender was also pretty rockin', and my friend was pretty impressed.
As for the return of Matchbook Romance, they certainly haven't gotten rusty. The big thing tonight though was their bassist Ryan got really ill and couldn't play the show, so Just Surrender's bassist filled in last minute. Because of this they had to cut a couple songs from the set. Sucks, but what can you do?
The set went as follows:
1.My Eyes Burn
2.Stay Tonight
3.Surrender
4.Your Stories, My Alibis
5.Playing For Keeps
6.You Can Run, But We'll Find You
7.Monsters
8.Promise
--------------------------
9.In Transit For You
10.The Greatest Fall Of All Time
the written setlist lost at least Goody, Like Two Shoes and My Mannequin Can Dance and maybe one other. MBR still kicks ass though and hopefully they will return full scale with a new album soon.

Was solid, should have played more from Voices, but since the bassist was sick...yeah. The guy above me said it all.

I was a little dissapointed by the turn out at the Poughkeepsie show, i was expecting it to be packed for the reunion/hometown show, i've seen just surrender headline and it be more packed there, but whatev the bands killed it,
i didn't know any of the opening bands, Hill Valley, Searching the Skyline, Show Me The Skyline, Crush The Everlasting
the singer for just surrender came out during Searching the Skyline and they played a Get Up Kids cover that was pretty cool.
Just Surrender's set was exactly the same as the others, in the middle of it dan came out by himself and was like "this is a song i wrote a long time ago, i hope you guys like it" and then he played Tiger Lily (see what he did there)
My first time seeing Matchbook and they were awesome, they were a lot better live than i thought they were going to be, and i'm pretty sure they had the same set as before, def no 14 balloons or if all else fails, but they did do something pretty sweet during playing for keeps, the drummer from just surrender came out and they "winged" it as they said and the drummer just made it up as he went along without ever actually learning the drum part, but it was good you wouldn't have been able to tell if they hadn't said anything.
great show can't wait for more matchbook
Sadly they didn't say anything about any possible upcoming tour or record
