When I was younger I used to like my music to make me feel kinda depressed/heart broken. Listening to stuff like early Dashboard, and TBS, with lyrics like.. "And I'm miserable, oh", and "let's never talk about this again because... I didn't want it to mean that much to me". Then I went more towards the louder/angry stuff, like AFI and the used, screaming along to the music. But nowadays, I prefer my music to make me feel like im lost in space somewhere. Listening to bands like Moccasin, Bright Channel, Darker My Love. I could care less about lyrics, its more about how they say whatever it is they are saying (half the time i cant understand it). It all started when i heard Brand New - welcome to bangkok. That song kinda makes me feel like im drifting in space, and then all of a sudden sucked into a black hole. After hearing that, it opened the world of spacey/noisey rock fo ro. yea..kinda random thread, but whatever.

lol...that song is so typical. I hate that played out radio rock like nickelback, theory of a deadman, others like them.

I listen to enough music that stretches the entire emotional spectrum. Whatever my mood is, I've got some music for it.

Depends what im in the mood for.
could be sad, anguished, upset
or upbeat party tunes
or inyoface unnecessarily loud music
or some golden oldies
rly, my taste is infinite as long as its under the rock or pop umbrella. :]

I prefer my music to cover a spectrum of emotions, but I like it when you can hear the passion the musician's in it. It doesn't really matter the emotion, but if it feels like it is coming from the heart I love it.

Interesting thread.

I just like music that reminds me why I love music so much.

I don't care if I like or dislike a song, as long as it gives me a passionate feeling as in extreme hate or extreme love for what I'm listening to.

I think that makes sense...

i think say anything describes why i love music so much.

nothing else makes me feel the way i do when i hear max bemis's brilliant lyrics smashing against my ears like a pie to the face.
