A teen ran out in the street and was hit by a truck in an effort to rescue her iPod (http://news.cnet.com/8301-17852_3-10248109-71.html?part=rss&subj=news&tag=2547-1_3-0-20).

Would you get hit by a vehicle to save your iPod?

This post is in conjunction with this week's Technology Round-up (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=1076162).

I would not. All of my music is on my computer, I sync automatically. I can just get a new one.

Yes, because I'm borderline homeless. Of course I'm also invincible, so hospital bills won't be a problem.

I have all my music on my computer. A new iPod would probably be cheaper than hospital bills.

I'd do outrageous things for my 700GB collection if it was not backed up.

I've spent the last eight years of my amassing this, it's my life's work.

Sadly, i might just take my chances and do this seeing as i have bad luck with computers and have gone through many in a course of 2 years.

It depends on how old the iPod is. Right now, I wouldn't.

Getting hit by vehicle = end of life

So it's a lose/lose situation I guess. :(

However if I live...
Lets just say I'd prefer some broken bones and my ipod than full health and no music to access on the go. lol

Maybe, if you didn't get hurt too bad (but hurt enough to get a decent settlement from the driver).

lol, I think you'll find it difficult to get a judge who sides with someone who ran out in front of a vehicle to save his iPod ;-)

This is true story, i got mugged for my phone (worth bout 75quid) but handed it over and didnt think about it.
About 3 months later then i got attempted mugging for my ipod, i just straight up said no and chipped it LIKE A MAN.

I risked a beating for my Ipod :-) .

i almost got hit by a car once saving my ipod. i was runnin across the street and it fell out of my pocket and i made a matrix like move and got it and avoided getting hit. it was pretty epic.

i really didn't even think about it though when i did it, i just dropped it, and didn't want to loose it so i went and got it. lol

i only have a shuffle that i won in that stack 'em game....so, fuck yes i'd jump in front of a truck, i won that shit fair and square! ain't no truck gonna crush my dreams, that's the wife's job...got a lil' country there, my bad.

truth be told, i most certainly would not jump in front of traffic to save an ipod.
