Ive been listening to alot of acoustic songs lately. What songs do you think sound better acoustic as opposed to the original version?
Note: Dont post acoustic covers. I mean bands that re-do their own songs acoustic.

Apology - Alesana is a pretty good acoustic re-do.
Seven Years - Saosin is definetly much better acoustic than the original. It just feels so much more powerful.
I didnt even know they did Cute Without The E as an acoustic track. I should check that out. :D

I have no idea. I'll admit that they're a good band, but I just can't into 'em. However, I find Outside to be very beautifully written and sung. Catchy as hell, too.

Actually it was never released on any album, only on one of the drive-thru records dvds, as far as I know.

The Iron and Wine version is not only better than the original, it's one of the best songs ever recorded.

I find it too slow paced. The guitar work is alright and the vocals aren't bad. But I don't see how it could be one of the best songs ever recorded. Decent vocals, decent guitar work...incredibly slow paced however...it's certainly not a bad song at all, but one of the best, absolutely not.

That's fine if you don't think the song is great, but Sam Beam's voice is amazing. And I think the song is paced perfectly. But whatever.

His voice isn't bad but I don't think it's that amazing. It's just a tad slow, I had to recall which acoustic version I was thinking of, it was another though not Iron and Wine's.
