Band's basically the prettiest form that trembling and crying and shitting in a corner is ever going to take.

For those of you unfamiliar that are repulsed or puzzled by that confusion:

Carissa's Wierd was a band that made very pretty indie music with more or less the saddest lyrics in history. Reccommended if you like the whole 90's "indie emo" thing and/or violins... or crying and shitting in a corner.

Oh, also, some of the people in this band made Band of Horses after.

So much better than Band of Horses.

Love Songs about Leaving lately, but haven't listened to the other two full lengths yet.

Really? I've been meaning to check out CW, but I'd be blown away if CW beats BoH (being as though BoH are one of my fav. bands)

Is that a relevant comparison? (I've not listened to BoH, so I actually don't know.)

They're completely different bands so it's pretty hard to compare them

Yeah, after listening to CW, the only conclusion is that both are totally exclusive sounds.

Just started getting into them, I really like this CD. As I was looking for the album artwork I came across this though, apparently its not everyone's cup of tea:

A D- though?

He didn't say much about the album other than how much he hated their voices. Whatever. Still love this band. Always preferred S though.

"With comical titles like "So You Want to be a Superhero" and "Sofisticated Fuck Princess Please Leave me Alone," you might think that the songs would be cool and fun."

pretty sure the guy writing that review is retarded

Great band, Songs About Leaving is so depressing but definitely cathartic. The girl who did vocals for CW released an album this year under the name S called I'm Not as Good at it as You, it's decent but not great.

Yeah, wasn't all that impressed by the S album: meh, it was ok.

So latest of latepasses, but Songs About Leaving is gorgeous, devastating, and various other hyperbolic adjectives.

Adore everything they've ever done. Can't even pick a favourite. S is fantastic too, especially enjoy Puking and Crying.
