Almost halfway there, predictions for playoff seeds? Conference champs? and Finals Champs? The East is pretty wide open once you get beyond the 4 spot and the West could go many ways as well.

East:
1) Pistons
2) Heat
3) Cavs
4) Pacers
5) Bucks
6) Sixers
7) Chicago
8) Knicks (I have to stay strong)

West:
1) Spurs
2) Suns
3) Mavs
4) Clippers
5) Grizzles (wierd to see them here)
6) Nugs
7) Jazz
8) Warriors

Pistons will win it all. They are better than they have ever been.
And I like the Suns to come up make a fun to the finals

Me likey. They might actually even get the 6 seed away from Philly if the Sixers continue to not score around Iverson

Cave can't possibly have the third seed, nor can the Mavs.

i think bill walton takes way too many pain killers. He's worse than John madden.

And john madden is fucking horrible.

Pistons vs. Mavs
Pistsons in 5.

(I don't watch alot of western conference basketball. and no one mentioned the mavs so i figured I would. as long as we win the title again, I don't care who we play.)

I definitely think the pacers maybe able to play at a higher level when they get a replacement for Artest. I also think whoever gets artest is boosting their playoff opportunites.. If the wolves / GS / lakers get him, I think they are all contenders for a bottom seed. If the clips get him, I really see them making a push too. It's really weird that (IMO) one player can affect the playoff hopes of any of these teams. I still have to wait to make predictions. I like the bulls at 7.... and it could happen... only in the eastern conference.

agree with doc ...but we're gonna need some luck w/ the ping pong balls to fall to 3. as far as seedinds go, i think it'll look like this ..

East
1. Detroit
2. Miami
3. New Jersey
4. Indiana
5. Cleveland
6. Milwaukee
7. Philly
8. Chicago

West
1. San Antonio
2. Phoenix
3. Denver
4. Dallas
5. Memphis
6. L.A Lakers
7. L.A Clippers
8. Utah

San Antonio over Detroit in 6. It seems like the easy way out, but I think these two teams are above and beyond everyone else right now.

detroit and cleveland can't both take a division seed, same with mavs and spurs, but you may be thinking record wise.

East:
1. Pistons
2. Miami
3. New Jersey
4. Clevland
5. Indiana
6. Bucks
7. 76ers
8. Wizards

West:
1. Spurs (this is a toss up. either Dallas or SA could win div.)
2. Suns
3. Timberwolves(gonna pull it together, and win div.)
4. Mavericks
5. Grizzlies
6. Clippers
7. Jazz
8. Lakers

Mavericks don't choke in the 4th quarter anymore. they're evolving into a playoff team. im sticking to my roots and going for Dallas vs. Pistons in the finals, with Pistons taking it in 6. Phoenix will be very tough, but im not jumping on the Amare 'comeback tear' train. Spurs aren't invincible anymore. playoffs are going to be awesome this season.

the wizards are actually the 8th seed as of right now. the bulls and the celtics are their only real contenders for the last spot. doc rivers and mark blount are a team, they will make sure the celtics arent in the playoffs. i dont think bulls have a legitmate chance either. there's a problem with your team when ben gordon is your leading scorer. the bulls need a building block for their team. and they dont have that yet. hinrich is good...gordon is good...but not a player that you want to build around. the bulls wont make that final playoff spot, the wizards have a good set of players right now. gilbert arenas is one of the top pgs in the nba. jamison is having his best season as a pro averaging 18 and 10 per game. caron butler is having his best season as a pro as well. those three alone can carry the wiz into the playoffs. antonio daniels has not been what the wizards had envisioned, he's underachieving this year, but look for him and chucky atkins to be replaced soon by someone who can help the team. if the wizards could just get a decent bigman not named brendan haywood they could be one of the top teams in the east.

the heat will be a totally different team come playoff time. pat riley is an amzing coach, and one of the greatest of our time. IMO wade is a better player than lebron. james gets all the hype...but d wade, i think, is a bit better. shaq would dominate big z in the playoffs. if antoine walker isnt being a baby(fat chance), he's a threat as well. pack that along with the veteran leadership of shaq, zo, and payton, and i think the the heat would beat the cavs 4-1.
