So I went to the Blackhawks/Flyers game last night, and I realized that college hockey is way more fun to watch than NHL. I realize I may not be comparing apples to apples here (Wisconsin is the #1 team in the country, the Blackhawks are dead last in the NHL) but I just can't see how it could be better even if the Hawks were a competitive team.

i wish i could have an opinion on this, but unless you go to a school with a good program, it seems like college hockey is pretty much out of sight and out of mind. I have been two a few Yale games, and those were exciting, so you're probably right.

boston college hockey is a huge deal here. pretty much all the boston schools are the same way too ..the bruins take a back seat.

i think the bruins would be close if they didnt suck. boston pretty much always has a contending team.

not big on the East coast either...it's only big in like...three or four states. Maine...vermont...wisconson...minne sota. States without a lot of big name sports really.

apparantly our hockey team is really good so I'm gonna try and see more of their games.

surprisingly its not as big as you'd think here. Theres some more excitement with both our teams being #1, but its still not as big as UW basketball or football....and good luck coming anywhere close to the popularity of the packers...even in madison.
