View Full Version : All Time Low a fraud?

I was talking to a producer asking how they sounded at Bamboozled...he proceeded to say they sounded great because they don't play anything live anymore (other than drums obviously). Everything is pre-recorded and they simply sing. I didn't believe it at first but then I remembered seeing them at Warped Tour 2 years ago right before (or after I can't remember) So Wrong, It's Right came out and they were awful. They sounded and looked so bad that we did not even finish watching the set. I saw them this past summer with Mayday, Every Avenue and The Maine and at Bamboozled and it was like watching two different bands. They were amazing. I know bands learn how to play live better and get better as they get bigger etc, but I kinda believe this guy...
I've always hated them, and probably always will.

I could see them doing it for TV appearances but definitely not on their own tours or anything. All you really need to do is play close attention to their strumming and stuff to see if it's spot on with the music.

Their fanbase probably could care less about looking at their strumming

yea maybe they are great live because they don't have to play actually? and even if you pay attention to their strumming they may act like they are playing the song but they really aren't...i mean i doubt they would just randomly strum. they have to give the impression that they are playing.

The strumming would be off, Genius.

they have backing tracks for like pianos in songs and certain effects, but for the most part they play their songs live. Obviously they've gotten better at playing their songs from SWIR since it's been out for awhile.

And it's not like it's actually hard to play their songs. What 1? 2 chords?

See, the singing being pre-recorded I would get, because the man needs autotune pumped up his wazoo on album, but if they need to fake their instruments so closely, then they might as well just play them.

ive seen them live multiple times. they play their instruments

yeah, they definitely play their instruments...and the band has gotten much bigger since before SWIR came out, therefore they have way better equipment making their sound much better. The only thing I could see someone complaining about as far as their show would be the use of the backing tracks for sounds they can't recreate live(Six Feet's piano, Weightless' drum machine effect)

i understand they have recording for their backtrackings but idk. its definately more ..this guy is a major producer in the music industry which is why i don't wanna say his name but he also told friends that i have in a certain band while they visited his studio on tour. hence why i think this is closer to fact than not. people are going to believe what they want because they like them, see them live, whatever but all time low is certainly not above this. they are borderline straight pop and it would not suprise me. they are more concerned about their popularity and the fans and putting on a good show..

how do you know this guy isn't lying for the hell of it?
"major producer in the music industry" doesn't mean "not a liar". oh wait, the music industry is the most honest and least corrupt business ever. carry on.

I have as well. They do play their instruments for a fact, I have watched them and there's no way it's fake. Plus I have seen acoustic videos where it would be impossible to have used recordings of them playing live for that.

You're way wrong actually. He doesn't use much auto tune.
My guess is this guy is just trying to piss people off.

Yeah, his vocals don't sound very "autotuned" at all.

Wow your an idiot. They care a lot about their live show. And we have no credibility on your part at all. I can come in here and say the same exact thing. Until you give names and facts there is absolutely no reason to believe you. Watch me come back at you with the same argument:
I know a major producer in the industry as well. He's done shows with All Time Low before that I have attended. They are definitely all live. Prove I'm lying.
And really, does this look like he's using tracks instead? No.

How about here, did they use a track for this one too? The one where they aren't pluged into anything.

Not really. You clearly don't listen to them at all if you don't know think Alex can sing.
