thank you. you just saved me from reading this article. Skip Bayless+Argument for Vince Young=a waste of my life to read.
You take bush. if you don't, you trade the pick. the end.

haha ...yeah, i dont really understand how Bush became soft all of a sudden. I guess the whole hype machine goes in cycles and now it's Vince Young's time for the spotlight. Bush will go #1 though, and rightfully so.

in all honesty, the top 3 players in the draft are bush, deangelo williams and maroney.

i'm pretty sure reggie bush takes care of that ..im willing to bet its at least half the reason the Texans are keeping the pick (the business aspect).

maroney and williams are the sleepers in the draft.
but there is questions about williams seeing as he did play at memphis, so you could raise questions at that. (Not saying i do, i think he'll be good, but some people want him to prove it since he's from a smaller football school.)

I agree with you on both counts. Skip Bayless is the biggest hunk of shit employed by ESPN since Rush Limbaugh. He is such a pompous ass who is wrong so often it is embaressing. I cannot stand watching Cold Pizza with him on it.

Well, I read it. And everyone who thinks that the Texans should take Young will try and use his article as fodder for their cannons. Except, he admits that young has average arm strength, and that his throwing mechanics are mediocre.
His sole argument is based on 3 things:
1. Texas won, and it was entirely because of Vince Young (obviously anyone can prove that wrong)
2. His throws and decision making looked great in the Rose Bowl (probably because he had 10 seconds per play to decide and throw, on a fairly mediocre USC defense.)
3. Texans fans might riot if they choose Bush, since they want the hometown guy
That's not really an argument, it's fanboy speculation and weakness all around. I mean, I don't know much about college football or draft speculation and I can break down that argument.
PS: I think Texans fans would riot more when David Carr throws for 3000+yds and 20ish TD's in Miami if they trade him there

you're spot on.
I don't think you take a qb with average arm strength and horrible throwing motions with the number 1 pick.

id take lendale white.
i will be a steelers fan forever and a day if they he drops and they get him. he will be better than reggie bush, you people are caught in the hype, bush is overrated. white will quietly destroy the competition and better than the rookie RB's of this year did. mark my words.

yeah. And the article points this out kind of, Young is cookie cutter perfect for Tennessee. He fits a McNair type style, they can ship Chow elsewhere and bring in either the Texas offensive coordinator, since he knows what to do with Young, or someone who has dealt with a mobile QB before.

well, they're not going to get rid of norm chow.
However, mcnair has a better arm than vince young. You know, when he's almost healthy, that is.

Lendale white will rush for 1200 yards next year.
Bush will go for about 1000, and tons of return yards. You don't judge bush by simply rushing yards. he's the type of guy you look at all purpose yards to determine his impact.
Did he have enormous hype? yes. Can he live up to it? Maybe.
But in the last 10-15 years, how many running backs entered the draft that everytime they get the ball you're convinced he's going to the house? I can't think of any...

yeah, the Packers are almost certaintly taking him, I believe there was even an article a few days back saying just that, assuming he doesn't go to the Jets.

does anyone know the college, if there has been one, that's produced 3 out of the top 5 picks?
