From Epitaph To Another Label?

From HitsDailyDouble (http://www.hitsdailydouble.com): The heat continues for the Scott Bradford-repped/Tim Smith-managed From First to Last (http://www.fromfirsttolast.com). The band’s current LP on Epitaph has sold over 100k. Their second record is already done but has not been released. As label heads go ga-ga over the group, the band is reportedly in discussions with their suitors to do a nontraditional record deal (think Korn/EMI). Yes, there’s a buyout to Epitaph involved for the band’s third album, but apparently it’s a low-figure exit—the band negotiated a reasonable exit clause when they signed with the indie. With a multiple revenue-sharing scenario being proposed, this is a potential win-win situation for the act and the signing label, but expect the price to be handsome. We hear the band is not in a rush to do a deal and will only play if it makes sense. We’ll keep you posted…

Funny story...I saw them a year or two ago and the singer was sick, so he didn't sing. One of the guitar players did. They were ok. Nothing wonderful, but decent. Didn't listen to them and saw them a few months later with the singer. Boy, does he suck. He made decent music nearly the worst thing i've ever heard.

They're not post-hardcore. They're second rate generic screamo. You want some post-hardcore? Check out anything on deep elm records.

One - if you actually paid attention to the reference you made, they weren't singing about salt shakers. That was the end track to the cd, and just a joke type thing. Not to be serious.

I think they write really catchy songs and melodies, but as musicians they cant pull them off live well, with the exception of thier drummer... who is amazing. Also, thier singer desperately needs to take a shower because he is probably the dirtiest/smelly person I have ever met.
