I just tried to put "phantoms" by acceptance on my mp3 player and the cd won't let me rip it! anyone know a solution?

huh that is weird. Do you have winamp, try that, i use lame encoder to rip my cds but its kinda confusing.

i can't use winamp because the organizer i need to put it into can't transfer the kind of file winamp puts it into
sucks huh
Thats brutal, what about other cds?
Ive ripped so many cds for my iPod, never encountered this.

its because columbia put a lock on the cd. i believe windows media player is capable of ripping it.

there's a program the cd enables so you can rip it
very stupid
now you have a rootkit on your pc. They are on a Sony Music label right? If so they implmented a new copyright protection that wont allow it to work on itunes. It also installs a rootkit on your pc which leaves a security hole.

You've got the XPC shit, go to Sony's website to get rid of it. I don't have the link though.
You can send the album with a packing slip you can get at the site also and they'll email you MP3s and a new disc.
