By later tonight, I meant the next post. I have posted my interview with producer Matt Squire (Northstar, The Receiving End of Sirens, Panic! At the Disco) right here (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?p=2398319). Check it out, I think it's good! For whatever that's worth.
Incredible interview. Incredible man.
One of the best I've ever read. Good job Rohan

Really interesting read.
They call it Hotlanta for a reason...
That reason being Rohan's suspiciously large package

would you happen to know why he mentions Matt Galle when you asked how bands can reach him? they [matt squire and matt galle] are both big industry guys, but isn't matt galle a booking agent (i think working alongside andrew ellis of ellis industries)? i might be wrong but i was just a little confused as to how they are both connected.
either than that, good interview. this guy's amazing.

He really is. He's totally one of the nicest guys I've ever talked to who is involved in the music business. He's the kind of guy who you could sit at a bar with and just talk and drink beer for hours. A truly genuine human being.

Greeeeaaat Interview, personally I'm not into anything other thing he has done other than TREOS. So if thats an indicator this producer must be good.
he produced the cadence's demo last year. they're good friends of treos.
not to shamelessly promote or anything...

I especially like the parts where you answer your own questions!
"AP: I’ve been dying to asking you this: the drum tones you got on Northstar’s Pollyanna amaze me every time I listen to the CD. How do you go about getting your drum sounds (particularly, what did you do on Pollyanna)? They’re incredible. What mics do you use? I may be wrong, but I’m guessing some trigger/sample replacement stuff is going on, and if so, in what proportion do you blend the mic’ed kit with the samples? Any favorite triggers/sample packs?"
"AP: I heard you’re quite the work-a-holic, waking people up early and so forth. Do people ever get pissed off that you wake them up/work them hard? My guess is that people are “eh” about it while it’s happening, but then end up being very happy with the results."
Douche.

God, I'd love to work with Squire. I'm sure he's big money expensive though...

I'm willing to bet that Galle just helps get the bands, for lack of better word, in touch and booked with Squire. I doubt it's anything more than that.

Matt Galle is pretty much his "booking agent" and helping out with managing and all that stuff.

the 'hard on' joke was unbelievably terrible and juvenile. it derailed an otherwise well thought out interview.
btw, your bandwagon "pun" earlier was weak too -- you might want to stick to the news and leave the "humor" behind

It has nothing to do with lightening up. I'm all for a good immature dick joke here and there, but not when you're conducting a fucking interview, and especially if you lack the capacity to be remotely funny about it.

the only reason I said anything in the first place is because this site has the popularity and the potential to be a credible news source that provides lots of great content: interviews, reviews, articles, etc.
You're only holding yourself back by having no quality control. You may not care, but if I were Jason Tate, I would be appalled.
This site could be consistently great

So a couple lines of shitty humor takes away from all the other information that you learned in that interview? And it detracts from our credibility?

To put it bluntly, yes.
Could you imagine a Rolling Stone interview that had a 'hard-on' joke mid-question in an interview with a well respected producer? Do you want to be known as a puerile music reporter, or just a straight up music reporter? it comes down to that
and don't for a second think that just because i'm the only one who pointed this out in the boards, that i'm the only one who thinks this way
you got talent and asked great questions, no reason to see this through all the way. that's all i got.
